I believe that they cannot stock lend shares without express permission from the account holder.
Whether that is part of the T&C's, and you have to opt out when opening up the account is another matter.
I was with HSBC until recently, and do not recall anything in their T&C's that allowed them to do this.
Each custodian will likely have their own policies, so maybe worth checking directly to be sure.

Some small cap funds will only buy shares in companies where the management are personally invested, and thus aligned with their shareholders. They do not look at warrants, etc, so great to see this.

Not writing off a short-term drop under 30p (I will add if it does), but we are much further down the line now compared to the past when it did drop to low twenties, and high teens (when I initially bought in).
AFC is a different company now, compared to then.
Yes, the highs into the 70's and 80's were over done based on the company position at the time, but there has been lots of positive news since then and expectations and targets are different and more achievable now compared to 15 months ago (imo).
Admittedly, not the multiple orders and cash generation that most would have expected from some 9 months ago, but the transition as a company grows is nearly always longer and costlier than expected, with plenty of bumps to be expected along the road.
Positive. Holding, but will add at the 30p level, if reached. If not, I won't be unhappy.

You said first thing this morning that the placing shares were all done, just like you did yesterday too.
You are now saying they will be clear tomorrow.
Let's face it, you have ZERO idea, just like everyone else, including the other poster who also keeps posting the same thing daily.
Sheer speculation aimed as a subtle ramp to explain why the SP is 'being held back', just like the 'large seller' we keep hearing about, and the 'NT to buy' others keep posting, trying to suggest that the herd is arriving and the SP will rise imminently.

As I said the other day, the placing shares went to select holders (per RNS), i.e. supporters, ones that are less likely to flip for a quick profit, so it is much more likely that NONE of them are selling, rather than ALL of them selling.

The 'fact' of placing shares being forward sold (impossible), or flipped for a quick 5%-10% gain is one of the biggest myths on AIM. It is totally against the company interest to place shares to holders who will sell straight away, they want them to go to supporters who believe in the company.

Maybe it is holders of the other 1bn odd shares that are selling. Much more likely given the 50% rise in 2 months?

I said this am it was time to switch off from here, but some misleading posts just cannot be ignored. I will be filtering these 2 and let the majority continue to 'like' their posts, as anything that looks plausible on here seems to be taken as factual by the majority.

Too much baseless speculation, ill-informed guesswork being reported as fact, and unsubtle ramping by some. It's worrying how many recommends some posts receive on here. I guess if it sounds plausible, it must be true to some.

Please explain your statement re: shorting.
There are no reported shorts on the official FCA register, or any other source that I can see (e.g. ShortTracker).

Don't trust the buy/sell indicators, no point as not accurate and not supposed to be an accurate representation, just an indicator.
Shares are not as simple as more buys than sells = SP up, and vice versa, especially AIM. Too many external factors to impact the SP, or not.
Volume and news and more important than constant daily, or inter-day moves, or the odd 'large' trade, that is generally not that large in the grand scheme of things (just from a PI perspective).
Still looking to add, but will wait to see on next news.

Why are so many still convinced that every time there is a placing, ALL shares are immediately flipped, or forward sold for a quick return?
It was made very clear in the RNS that the latest placing was made "to certain investors".
These shares will have gone to strong supporters of ANGS, approached specifically for their ongoing support, and will not have been sold for their quick 5%-10% return.
There will be plenty of other sellers around with 1,369m shares in issue, and the SP up more than 50% in 2 months.

Just to add on the Longspur note.
In the current MiFID II world and the new rules surrounding free analyst research, I initially considered this note a good thing, as not many AIM shares will have non-house broker coverage due to the costs involved for the brokers, so a company like Longspur who specialise in clean energy investment for their clients putting together a note was unusual, perhaps hinting they are taking a view due to looking to initiate positions for their clients.
However, a look at their website states that all of their research notes are issuer funded, so it looks like EQT will have paid for this.
Still, some good exposure from a source not directly connected to EQT, and in the right sector, so still a positive for me.

Hopefully, so more updates soon to get some momentum here, the results do not seem to have had the effect that I thought they would. Plenty going on for optimism here though.

It certainly has been a real disappointment to date.
Especially with all the optimism when this was in the 50's.
A very long way to go to get back close to that, there will be many underwater.
Bod need to start delivering with some big news to turn this around
This is my biggest holding, more than half bought at 49p, the remainder at 11p. 50% down currently.

Not 100% certain, but I think they generally look at a year to 18 months when giving a SP target.
I always take SP targets with a pinch of salt, especially of it is a house broker, but as this one will be a paid for research note, will give it some more credibility.

Before the consolidation, I was always in favour of a buy-back, rather than any dividend, as the number of shares in issue was ridiculous.
Now we have had the consolidation though, I feel a buy-back would be of no benefit. It is not a huge number of shares in issue now, so a dividend would make more sense, especially as a tangible reward to shareholders.

I was going to hold off until the vote, but added some more today to bring my average down.
Made a good profit here before, selling due to a short term need.
A larger position here for me now, and leaving some spare cash to add some more depending on the SP after the vote, although happy with my holding as things stand. Long term hold

Don't look in here too often, but still amazed by the obsession with so many here on 2 incredibly small and very inconsequential short positions.
They are tiny.
They will have zero effect on the SP here.
Their positions will definitely be getting reported correctly as regulated financial institutions would never risk not reporting positions correctly, and internal compliance checks would ensure this is happening.
They are far too small to have any real adverse effect on the companies if they go wrong, and if there is big news volumes would increase accordingly to allow any swift exit.
They will most definitely NOT be posting negatively on here to somehow try to protect their positions.
They really are not worth all the time and effort many seem to spend posting about on here.
Who cares if they lose money on their miniscule positions anyway, it means that shareholders are profiting.
Posters really do try and read too much into straightforward and simple processes to try and make something out of nothing, especially when news events are few and far between.
Far more important considerations that will drive the SP here, like news, sales, tangible progress, sentiment, etc.

Agree with much of what you say, but I wouldn't expect many posters here to cash out on any initial jump, but I would certainly look at taking some off the table.
All depends on where the SP goes to, and how big (for me) this gets in my portfolio.
I keep a strict max % weighting for any one stock, so would automatically sell down if this is exceeded, and with AIM, any profit is a good profit. Been here (AIM) long enough to know the pitfalls and learn from past experience!
Everyone has different strategies though, so should do what is best for them.

Good to see that this board is still relatively quiet, and that posters are still excited, but sensible, can express their views without being attacked, and are respectful to others with different views. That can quickly change!

Yes, there is a good chance that markets (and AFC) will open down on Monday, but that doesn't mean that AFC cannot finish the day up!
All other options on the table too.
It is news and/or a change in sector sentiment that will be the catalyst for any real move here though.

tbh, volumes are incredibly low here, and have been for a while.
It has only broken 0.25% of shares in issue a handful of times in the last 3 months, and has not broken 1% at all.
This need a catalyst (news) to get the SP moving, or a change in sector sentiment, imo.
Still my 3rd largest holding, at target and happy to wait
