The share price is still holding in the 1.80 to 2.00 range and volumes have dropped off while everyone awaits an update. II's won't get heavily involved here until price is much higher (imo not until around 8p plus and certainly not at levels where market announcements are needed), or commerciality is announced. PI's are sitting tight waiting for news. It's a waiting game currently. Good reasons to be positive with what is known to date and from the eyes on site. Hoping for an RNS before the month is out.

Was just going to say the same. Traffic seems to have quietened down greatly after the ANGS vote on Wednesday. Coincidence?

Other than the spike last Friday on the flow test announcement, volumes have been low for the past 2 weeks compared to the period prior to and just after the RNS on 18/7, similar to the relatively flat SP over the same period.
News will get the price moving again, lots of positive activity being reported on site, but patience needed.

We've been holding in the 1.80 - 2.00 range for the past couple of weeks now. 1.80 has been tested several times, but has held. Can hopefully break through the 2.00 barrier soon, but may need further updates before this happens.

I guess I meant is it more nuanced than the SP just fluctuating in line with oil price movements.
Would the price of oil have a bigger impact on, say an offshore producer's SP with higher extraction costs, compared to an onshore producer's SP with lower extraction costs? Is there also a correlation between associated costs of production (and other factors) as well as the price of oil when it comes to SP impact for producers - obviously there comes a point when it is no longer economically commercial to produce if the oil price falls between a certain level.

When it comes to commerciality what would the fluctuations in oil prices do to the SP for UKOG? Would the SP fluctuate in line with movements in the oil price, or would this depend on other factors too?

Not disputing that there are II's playing this, just not convinced there would be any big players involved currently.
To sit below the thresholds, we would be looking at an investment of around £3m based on current market cap (to the best of my knowledge), which seems way too small for the likes of BP, Total, etc that people have mentioned on here.
I can't see these majors likely to get involved until commerciality is confirmed, and then more likely via some kind of partnership/stakeholder arrangement.
Buying in the open market, any bigger II's would presumably need the SP to stabilise at a much higher price before getting involved.

I've been reading a lot on here about the II's in UKOG, but just who would they be?
IMO, the market cap is currently too small for the majority of II's to invest as many mandates will have AIM restrictions and where AIM investment is permitted, they will restrict investment by market cap (maybe to a 500m or even 1bn minimum), so much of the big players will be excluded. For example, I know HUR has II's, but the fact there have been no regulatory announcements for UKOG in this regard, the size of purchase needed for most II's to build a worthwhile position seems too small currently.

Wouldn't II's interested in UKOG be limited currently to small cap players and specialist sector investors where you would expect that research would play a key part in the investment decision, so other than PI's and Fund Managers investing on behalf of managed private client funds I am not sure the 'big guns' are anywhere near UKOG presently. I believe the lack of regulatory announcement and the current make-up of the UKOG holders perhaps bears this out.

Interested in people's thoughts on this. Does this sound correct and that we may need to get closer to a double digit price before we see any serious II interest? Market Cap seems to be more relevant to me for II investment rather than any proof of commerciality.

New member here, Have been reading this BB daily for a couple of months now (much too much time on my hands!). Holder of UKOG for 9 months, adding over time (currently averaged at 2.38). Not her to ramp, or deramp.

Hope the result of the ANGS meeting today is good news and UKOG gets a residual boost as well as all the other weald players. GLA
