For someone who claims to have £10k invested in this stock, you seem to be permanently on a downer here.
Are you currently in at a loss like many (including me)?
I am positive, patient and looking forward to updates and holding to review my position at the end of the EWT regardless of the SP in the interim. Obviously, a blue SP is what all investors are looking for, and if the results are there this will then be reflected in the SP.

I suspect some that are down on this stock have over-invested, putting in more than they can afford to lose looking for a quick return and frustrated at the current depressed SP levels.
DYOR, believe in your investment decisions and know when to cut loose.

This is an interesting conversation.
Looking at this from an II perspective, one of my old Fund Managers who ran a UK smaller cap Fund, would only invest in a company if the management had a stake.
Not just options, but actually putting their own money in.
The way he saw it, if they did not have enough confidence in the company to put their own money in, why should he put his clients' money into the company?
If you are invested yourself, you will work harder to increase your shareholders return.
Obviously, not all investors will look at this, but it could certainly be a factor as to why some will not put money in.

Exactly. They be selling down to raise some cash, but no evidence that they are selling out.
If they were, I would expect them to make an announcement in this regard to clarify the reasons for doing so, particularly for their own shareholders (although other than the TR1 if going under 3%, this would not be a requirement).
I believe Solo will retain a % of their holding, it may just be at a level where we wll no longer know if they are in or out.

For me, the Portland commerciality may be built into the current SP, but it could also be a price catalyst as it would be another hurdle cleared to remove doubt not only in the eyes of PI's, buy also taking UKOG a step closer to getting the all important II's on board.
Currently, II's will have lots of unanswered questions when looking at UKOG that they would want clarification/satisfaction on before making any big investment and this would be a positive step in their analysis of the company.

SS also has a big part to play to attract II's to invest. UKOG may have a bigger chunk of the Weald, but if management do not impress the market with meetings, interviews, news updates, etc, the market may look to invest their money in another Weald player with a more convincing case/better management, or elsewhere. The knock-on effect could be good for UKOG, but if it comes to cash raising to move the company forward UKOG could potentially be left behind at the expense of someone else.
I have taken a smaller position in ANGS, partly for this reason.

It is certainly an interesting couple of months coming up for both companies.

Has recovered well since the 12pm low.
Volumes not huge today, hopeful of further recovery and we may even see a flat finish.

I was not one to get carried away, but at the start of testing I did feel that the SP would reach 3.5p to 4.5p on the back of a good Portland result (it had recently hit 2.70 then). Was never expecting 10p plus in the short term (maybe 6.5p to 7.5p with additional good Kim results I thought).
Now, I feel it will take a lot to see 2.50 again in the short term, even with the completed testing.
Tough for LTH's, many with a higher entry point to mine (circa 2.33), so can understand frustration from some on here.
Am holding and waiting.
Plenty of news still to come, but once testing is complete, I will be reviewing my holding and considering options.

Hard to say what is going on. There does not seem to be a great deal of logic in it all.
Topped up a few weeks ago at 2.19 thinking the SP had stabilised and would not fall further, and again last week at 1.93 thinking that was too good to miss out on.
Personally, I would like to see the official announcement of Portland commerciality this week, plus an update on Kim testing to hopefully see the SP reverse its current decline.
I would also like to see SS release an interview on the back last weeks' RNS, it's the least the shareholders and the market deserves especially seeing as we have seen recent (good) interviews from DL and Vonk (ANGS).
Maybe he will wait for the Kim preliminary results, but SS needs to come out and give an interview soon imo.

The threshold was crossed on 02/10 by Solo's trading.
The issuer (UKOG) was notified of the change on 04/10

The date of completion you mention (I see this at the bottom of the RNS) may just be the date the RNS was prepared/filed for release (perhaps the release was delayed to the max 4 days from the event date).

There may be someone with a more complete knowledge of RNS' here. I believe there is a poster who used to deal with these announcements.

They could already have sold a lot more last week. The announcement was from a disposal on 02/10. They only need to announce again if under 3% and have 4 days to make that announcement. They may already be under if they have been selling daily, if so, we may not hear until around Thursday/Friday depending on volumes if they choose to wait 4 days to announce.

Just out of curiosity, there is a 4 day requirement for making a TR1 following a threshold change.
Do you think this announcement was possibly held back until after the RNS update on Friday on purpose rather than made immediately in order to negate any potential SP reaction to the disposal? If so, it doesn't appear to have done so.
Or maybe it is just slow/slack admin?

Yes, you're quite right. I think I calculated what a 3% holding was and adjusted for the 12.7m sell. It is too early on a Monday for me!
So, another TR1 could be imminent, if they are still selling.

Just to show how much I know, it was only on Sat as a TR1 fun challenge that I stated I wasn't convinced Solo was selling and that we were more likely to see a TR1 for a new investor going above 3% than Solo going under 3%.
We shall find out soon enough.

Yes, seems to be a delay of sorts with the holdings RNS on here.
According to the 2 RNS, announcements, the first was to confirm the receipt of shares (234,042,221, or 4.20%) as at 28/9.
The second RNS shows a reduction under the 4% threshold following a disposal of 12.7m shares on 02/10.
They could have disposed of 3 more tranches last week, but with the size of trades roughly 154m odd needs to be sold before the 3% threshold is hit.
It may take a week or more to sell this quantity going by adv, if they are still selling.
Hopefully my calculations are correct!

The SP reaction to the RNS was a disappointment. I won't go into detail on this again as people are quick to take offence and go on the attack. Next week is a new week and hopeful of better things.
Bring on the preliminary Kim testing results.

You just need to look at the UKOG board to see how bad the spats and abuse being thrown about can get.
