RE: Long Term30 Jul 2020 16:43
Desertwolfch,
Just looked at the Schroders and Norma RNS notifications.
On the form, section 1b states "Please indicate if the issuer is a non-UK issuer (please mark with an "X" if appropriate)"
Underneath, I think the first bit (Non_UK Issuer) is pre-filled. There is no "X" in the box beside it, so this is effectively n/a.
They would put an "X" in the box if the issuer was a non_UK issuer.
Also, if an investment (holder) comes from the US, Israel, Suisse or Japan, they DO need to issue a TR1 (my typo in earlier reply).
If a US, Israel, Suisse or Japan incorporated company has a UK listing, then the TR1 rules (i beleive) do not apply as they have their own equivalent regulatory requirements that the FCA recognise as equivalent to their regs
Again, all my interpretation.
Plus there are some exceptions, as pointed out by junior
