The new strains are worrying for our not so efficient govt. ( ex Party member with contacts still ). Govt. has only doen one thing right IMO.... to get in well and quickly with vaccine order. The rest has been bordering facile since March. I have been involved to a degree in some of the drugs and incompetence of HMSC is astounding. Much is hidden from the public and just leaks out through media...intentionally and not.
The manipulation of share prices is a truth and astounding. I am constantly learning new games after 30 years of trading in which so much has changed. The intention to frustrate investors into selling has been around since the Great Depression and Mr. Keynes though.
There are also many micro games. Mm’s have favoured customers and will dump or soar a price accordingly.
This is the present stage of share price play. Short term City profit making.

Of course we can. And if we have the funds we often do. Piggy back on the drop.
But we can’t bring it down and manipulate it.
It’s like Nokia/AMC/BB etc in the US. The punters got together to fund the short squeeze. Magnificent. But they can’t sustain it against almost limitless short funding and the manipulation preventing them buying. Just as corrupt. See Robinhood et al. And social media meant one-way info available to shorters.

Ii’s and mm’s want punters out and are keeping price low to buy in cheap. It’s all manipulated and corrupt( I have friends who do it !) but worth knowing.

I am particularly grounded by the balanced and less impulsive posters here e.g. Porky/Kaeren etc. The market is doing what it inevitably does...play downbeaten stocks. Reality and value are irrelevant. It makes them rich..so they do it. Then they move on. dddd/Orph/SNG/Avct...all recent examples. I could cite more going back decades. Nyct has no debt. No need to raise cash. Needs to get on Nasdaq maybe but big market in US. My neighbour works for a big UK company which has the patent for remdesavir. Tells me LFT’s are 65% effective. PCP’s reliable. Also agree with my experience that DHSC are slow and inept. So not much should be read into no news. Bourse unhelpful but whatever. Fundamentals here are not for short term players. The market mm’s and funds and ii’s are playing Ncyt like a harp. No improvement in s/p will happen for a while. This is almost absolutely always the case. Nothing has materially changed and Ncyt are diversifying fgs. This is fundamental. Finncap forecast strong testing well into 2022 but Ncyt are already looking past that. And they have the cash. Expect nothing from present s/p.
It is mm white noise. Meant also to set off stop losses and disillusion. It often works.
Like Porky I hold very many and am on a very large paper loss.
Playtime is just what happens. OMG have I seen it for decades...particularly the last one.

This govt. has been miserably slow in responses since March ( second to US) and is the laughing stock of many nations’ media( particularly Commonwealth).
I would like to think that ( Boris aside-I am faithless here as a resigned Party membe) some of the decision makers are being proactive. Who else has marketed a diagnostic pcp and poc variant test??

As I posted earlier this poc test is so timely and it cannot help but heighten the profile of company re. contracts globally and DHSC. Already engaged in talks with DHSC re. extension. Either way there is a huge market for this poc recognition of the variant at a crucial time. First on the ball again.

We have to deal with its ability to mutate and do its job remarkably efficiently. A shark grows new teeth.
Ncyt have shown incredible poignant efficiency themselves. Globally we need to be able to recognize each new variant and eventually have a fast ( maybe pcp) test which immediately gives that info.

NZ had the right approach . Yes different country and small population. They shut off air travel from the start. They have been covid-free for 6 months ( 2 cases tracked and traced yesterday )

Ncyt will have a whole lot of testing this year. Testingvpredicted to spike this year and to resurge through the winter into nextvyear. And that was before the SA variant.
Revenue should be considerably more than Q2 2021 in Q1 2022 especially with new global markets. Ncyt was temporarily oversold in terms of sentiment. The marketeers are eating it. But value is so damn obvious with demand for testing/instruments/cash to invest /no debt/m and a /divergence from covid.
The more uncertainty re. new strains ..the more testing will become the norm.
Vaccines are still in hypothetical mode in reality and ncyt have ongoing strong demand through 2022. I’ve posted too much. Sorry. Lockdown . But it’s meant to encourage those on a loss to hold the faith. It may be quite a while until funds and Citiboys stop playing with this share. Month or more perhaps.

Govt. has been inept from day one. Crisis management not crisis prevention. If it is not to the benefit of the govt. to publicise SA variant they will hush it. Ocford vaccine only proved 65% effective on tests on SA govt. Govt. scientist 2 weeks ago called it” worrying”. I was involved in trying to get airlines to shut down last summer. Govt. not interested. Until crisis.
Same with care homes last March/April.
Urgent follow-ups of all who have been via SA is urgent. The US have a brilliant airport tracking scheme. Why can’t we?

A lot is speculation right now. But we do not know for sure how quickly covid mutates and whether vaccines prove effective on all strains. Important not to believe propaganda. Particularly from Boris. “ Schools are safe”. I am a school teacher. They are absolutely not.
I feel there will be much new press coversge of vaccine effectiveness vs. covid strains in next few months. Trouble with Sars-covid strains is that they shut down the initial pathway to the immune system incredibly effectively in the vulnerable.
Without it they would just be another coronavirus.
Much to be discovered but filter news carefully. It can be used to scaremonger or the opposite...to hide worrisome govt. unknowns which undermine it.

Unlike one poster here I see a big future for covid trsting. Vaccines do not eradicate coronaviruses. Smallpox/Polio yes. Measles is the most infectious disease allegedly known. But is still around and covid will just become a different covid like flu does every year. It also is a coronavirus like the common cold.
I held Ncyt in the 600’s but bought too high this time at 930. I knew it was overbought but the drop surprised me.

It is a presumption to assume that covid testing will die out. Coronaviruses have shown what they can do . Sars/Mers/Swine flu/Bird flu were all coronaviruses. Testing has now been proven more necessary than ever. And many present day analysts are predicting covid 19 tests through 2022. Don’t hang hopes on one journalist. Vaccine efficiency in practice is also not yet proven and vigilance will demand expansion of new testing and continuation of old.
