One of the things that commencing early works does is focus all parties on a main works date.

This date may slip slightly, but parties do not then want to be the one to delay what has become a live project.

Our date was October, the rumblings are that things will be finalised in the next few days.

Early works activities will vary depending on stakeholder requirements, sequencing of works and how deep a companies pockets are.

KEFI appears to have bundled together the site set up activities necessary to achieve final sign off.

Nothing wrong with Kefi having the earthworks within Main Works as the community resettlement will likely have an impact as to when it can start and they'll have needed to draw down funds to buy the Major Earthmoving Equipment

With Gold about to break through $2,800 and Kefi able to use this strength to go back and negotiate a better Debt to Equity Split for us shareholders the company is obviously in a strong position.

Early works has obviously been progressing well and will now begin to interweave with Main Works. Whether sign off occurs in October or November couldn't be anymore irrelevant and will have zero impact on this mine becoming operational in 2026.

The upcoming rerate is going to be huge and the likes of magnacarta will simply disappear.

Yes, Tom said he'd been expecting the news this week based on conversations with the company but said it now looks to be first week of November.

Even this morning you were posting that this year has been missed and that production cant start this year.

Production is planned for mid 2025!

We all know what you are!

We know that financing sign off is taking a little longer as kefi look to reduce the equity portion.

The idea that we are working to save 5 to 10% at the subsidiary level but suffer 20% at the group level to achieve this is rediculous and shows just how out of touch with reality Magnacarta is.

Any raises will be at multiples of the current price and like to be with institutional investors once the funding is in place

Most of you post read as gibberish, but at the end you say you only want me to answer when will Kefi start this project.... This made me chuckle

Just to spell it out for you as you are clearly the only one who doesn't understand it.... This project started on 20th May 2024 and is progressing with prelims, site set up, security, community relocation, underground and value adding engineering etc. etc.

Why do you think the second bank would pull out right now? What do you have to support this idea?

They are not doing us a favour by loaning us money, they will make a lot of money from us and their risk reduces in line with our payback period

It would be highly unusual for a bank to back out at this stage given that their conditional approvals have been met.

There will have been timeframes, although something as significant as an adjustment to the debt / equity at this stage obviously prolongs things.

Do you really think we'd be in discussions with the bank taking on more risk if there was any issue?

Doze, there has obviously been some significant reasons that have delayed sign off this year, but they all appear beneficial to the longer term success of the project and return for us shareholders.

For me, Early Works commencement under approval from the financing syndicate and Ethiopian government was key as from that point everything began properly moving forward.

Many will be associating the delays as delays to the project, when in fact the project is now progressing

We are told that the delay is due to negotiations to improve the equity / debt split.

What's a 5% improvement going to be worth to us shareholders..... 30-50m?

I think a short delay for that sort of number is worth it, don't you?

Just to follow this up.....

At 10.22am we can see the 1000 share bid get settled at 0.59p.

At which point the Ask is suddenly dropped from 0.608p to about 2.1m shares at approximately 0.59p

And now we have some chunky trades going through in the 0.58p's

Hard to say that the 400 and 1000 share bids early weren't signals

Some will believe in them, others won't.

I think there is something to them as have seen the 1 share trade RNS occur on a few occasions.

Well, we've just had a bid off 400 shares at 0.59p that 10 minutes later was upgraded to 1000 shares at 0.59

This would imply the Market Makers wish to keep trading it sideways and not let it run
