Yes Micro could be worth more to current stakeholders given the new company - they are being bought cheap so far … hopefully you will get more JG68 , but feel free to switch some Micro shares for Dark , which has no debt as such and is a money making machine in the making !

Dark is trading around 520 p , still low , sitting and waiting for news …
I expect TB will be generous and offer 800 p ++ or even 900 ++ to buy out most stakeholders …. Including those who bought at 750 p in placement …

Avast now 700 p due to strong dollar , going at its peak , no one can complain , Blueprism was struggling but 1275 was 60 per cent above , Dark already on the up and towards 600 p ++ this year so 800 ++ not impossible !
It would be great if TB could announce next week ! Leaving it to Sept 9 is a bit late !

NewKOTB good post , Dark was already recovering and on upward trajectory towards north of 600 p this year , no one knows for sure .., but certainly not a Micro focus or Blue prism type of case …. One hot 60 per cent around and Micro so far 100 per cent premium and shareholders would prefer 150 per cent and some even say fair value for offer 200 per cent , I doubt 200 per cent will happen , but an increase above 100 per cent might be possible depending on the vote

I would guess much higher than 50 per cent
Blue Prism , Avast happened , Aveva , Micro focus seem in good direction …

Agree 550 p , so offer should be at least 30 per cent higher , say 710 p or more … certain 530 p too low , but the question is how will any shareholder vote go ?

Maybe sell part of your holdings in Micro , 30 per cent to 50 per cent and use the proceeds to buy Dark ….

Darks highest 2 year price 1000 p , currently before bid 520 p
Whereas Micro is already over highest 2 year price .. spread your bets over a few buyout companies maybe :)

Relying on a new bidder risky , the current offer could be the only one , and already over last 2 years trading price even above tech bubble price

Having said that a premium to last 2 years price would be better , say 600 to 700 p fairer … sadly I own no shares now of Micro, and would switch to Dark if I did

Times says hold Dark at 520 p , the upside conservatively is 30 per cent to 65 per cent upside if offer comes in next 2 weeks , Sell Micro but Dark could be a great strategy :)

In Usa Jacksonhole Powell news that he will be tough on inflation ( Cyber is here regardless of inflation ) however interest likely to rise but I understand Dark has little debt … but generally high growth Tech shares in Usa will be impacted a bit , hopefully the sell off in Usa is short lived ..
As ffor the Car park , Sneaking1 I hope has bought 10 Apple AirTag to stick to each car , so he can track the cars in his iPhone …anything to get an edge !

Yes Micro overpaid for some of its acquisitions I remember - not sure which ones ! History
The current buyer already owns 60 % ? Some shareholders from old days will lose out but not this Rs within last 2 years … each software buyout is different ( Micro are struggling and Dark is in much better trajectory ) so I now raise my buyout price from 800 ++ to 900 ++ :)

Double price covers most buyers on last 2 years ….Dark would need an offer of 950 ++ to do the same , 950 p is only 800 p given strong dollar so not impossible :)
