Hey guys , I stated many times that an offer was not certain … quite disappointed that no offer at all … maybe still a chance others might offer later

My posts have mostly been about Dark , I have not been a moaning Wallflower , and have followed Dark since IPO and before , would be very surprised given the strong dollar , strong performance of Dark for an offer below 800 p +++ given a placement made at 750 p and strong growth ahead …. The question is , will there be a bid at all , I would guess 85/15 in favor , but equally that’s only my guess and the share could drop to 375 p … I have never suggested anyone buy as the bid is uncertain !

It seems like TB might wait til Sept 12 , although the pegging activities of TB through Goldman are tricky ….. my guess is they will aim to hit the ball out of the park first time …. Boris mentioned in his farewell speech that Uk has more new tech billions than Germany France Israel combined …

If TB were planning to make an offer let’s say for X00 p
surely it would make sense to buy more now at a lower price ?

ABG can add value with the expertise from some 30 other brands
They bought Brooks brothers after it filed for Chapter 11 at a low price ….they seem to low ball companies that have been through a tough time , and certainly not over pay … but grap good brands when they are on their knees …. Nasty for loyal long term shareholders

All I can say is Darktrace are doing well , and if takeover happens then expect 650 p from 500 p now , if takeover not happen and no one knows then a drop to 400 p could happen … place your bets if you have the stomach for it …

TB are successful as they align interests , shareholders . Employees for mutual success … they are reasonable

Not like Blackstone , KKR , Carlyle , Apollo and others who maybe might be more aggressive on pricing

Amicable bid offer , treating Directors , employees well , adding value is the name of the game

KKR might try to hold out for more and raise the final bid offer

If TB is allowed to speak to the big shareholders like KKR in advance of any bid , they have a better chance of hitting the right number .. are TB allowed to speak to the big 8 shareholders now ?

Surely the Top 8 shareholders including the Employee block , will decide yes or no, if and when a bid is made

Now is perfect timeing , 1. In the cycle of Dark growth , 2. The cycle of tech market and interest rates 3 . US dollar strength 4 . And Dark being a leader / Crown jewel

No 1 , well if the price is right great , if if some of the big holders want more , eg Summit and KKR and Employees , then TB will be smart enough to find out what is attractive price first from these big stakeholders

Are TB allowed to talk directly with the big shareholders at this time

If Poppy can not strike a deal with TB , and share price drops below 400 p for more than days , she might have difficulty retaining staff who are not happy to have missed out on a future Usa listing and focus …

Realistically my bottom line is around 800 p +++ , but given added value TB can bring and strong US dollar , not surprised if final bid higher - to buy out all stakeholders - if it happens - let’s see
