The short sellers who sold at opening price of 363 p today only got to 334 p around 9 per cent profit only … so those who shorted today , risk short covering at higher price

Be careful not all takeovers happen - good luck and fingers crossed

Now at 350 p , post IPO price again , surely a higher chance now of going to 450 p than down to the level you mentioned … would prefer to be kong than short at these levels given excellent results

TB had an offer range in mind and it probably did not match KKR and other shareholders range … TB could have offered more … as great things will happen next 12 months , and pound might start to recover next year …. Not sure how secure the Boards jobs would have been after takeover … and what guarantees Poppy would have to continue to lead and get new shares in the newly owned entity … if she was selling out for good that might mean she and the other big shareholders might have been asking something high by even our standards ! So a Gap too large to continue discussions ! I believe 800 p TB might have paid … do Poppy / KKR and co wanted significantly higher

It was very strange that the share price was sort of capped at 575 p as an offer price , and never went above 560 p …, then for 2 weeks if floated down to 490 p / 500 p … very strange in retrospect if a takeover at a serious price was going to happen

Poppy’s body language and the car park satrelite pictures might have given us advanced notice

But excellent results

Certainly Dark deserves better , I would expect by next week Friday we are above 400 p again for starters , oversold today on low volume I believe !
TB has missed a great opportunity… let’s see 6 months later

Agree we did believe with strong dollar - 22 per cent stronger than last year - then much easier to buy now if TB serious … it seems not serious , just looking under the skirt … hit and run !

On the Dark profit result … is that due to accounting on debt to equity or on actual profits …

Profits in a tech software company should be a day to celebrate…

Agree we are oversold below 430 p when TB appeared … plus these good results

An embarrassing day for Dark that not even an offer price came out of discussions , not even close … however I guess they have to announce preliminary discussions ….. personally I don’t think TB were that serious or ready … no excuse with low pound and great results ( only ML could have held it back )
Dark know they need to be squeaky clean on their accounts and business models and compliance - they announced today they are rolling out Workday software which helps with Usa compliance and accounting - making it even easier to buy in 6 months

I agree low volume on a big down day , is very positive ( although not much fun for LTH )

Big funds will add at this level - a Dark being in Profit for first time would be huge news if listed in Usa

TB can not bid again for 6 months and by that time where will the pound and Nasdaq be ?

I am not a ramper , just an optimist , however Dark is being overly abused

I agree the CEO was under a lot of pressure today , and could have done more …

The board are thinking in years not in one days share price … they can afford to be a bit aloof … as 8 shareholders control the company

I expect Poppy to have stronger legs in October results
She does not want to over promise … but it seems something missing today … maybe just prudent

Yes by definition we all do not know the future price direction for sure - but certainly have a clue :).

For TB offer to be successful all 8 big shareholders would need to have agreed on price , let’s say 800 to 1000 p plus Poppy and her team would have needed to be happy with new owners and the added value …

Maybe the board felt a lot of value will be created in next 12 months with roll out of Prevent , new contracts with Federal government , and Uk government and great momentum on profits

People so far missing the fact that Dark in profit , it’s not a cash burning high growth tech stock like Uber , Doordash , but a software company making profits than can accelerate from here !
One year later 650 p could look like peanuts :) in my humble opinion ! :)

Dark shareholders and employees deserve better than this - the company is doing well
Very soon big investors will add on the good results and we could easily be 450 ++ quite quickly , and over 500 p by October results

Dark deserves better on this stella performance and current share price hugely oversold in my humble opinion

We could see accelerating growth and profits in next 12 /18 months
Plus more takeover offers before the pound strengthens !
