The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Years ago I was interviewing for modern apprentices. It's not an interview as such because these are people with little experience so really just trying to get them talking.
We were getting little from one guy so just asked what he liked doing in his spare time. "I like playing computer games" was his answer. The guy I was interviewing with then said "great, what type of games do you play?" Queue an awkward silence followed by him saying "I don't actually play games, I was just trying to impress you."
What made me laugh about that was that he thought we would somehow be impressed by that!
The folly of youth.
They actually have a 40 min exercise to do before the interview so that gives me a bit of time to focus on the important stuff!
I'm preparing myself to hear nothing before the end of April - that way (hopefully) I won't be disappointed.
I would be staying in the balloon because my wife doesn't know the password for my IG account so if the results are good all those shares will be unclaimed in the event of my death! Good enough reason?
Famous last words but not sure we'll see it drift as much as people expect.
I wonder what the HT results will show? Because people are outside of a hospital setting, human behaviour could have a big influence. We all know about the placebo effect, I wonder if patients on placebo were less likely to go into hospital just by virtue of being on the trial? Maybe the nurses from Synairgen were directing them to go to hospital if patients weren't getting better (eg on a daily basis of always saying they feel 7 out of 10 for breathlessness). Ethically you couldn't not provide that sort of advice surely, and the nurses wouldn't know who was on SNG001 and who wasn't.
The government have backed themselves into a corner at the minute. The vaccination programme has been a huge success but you can see growing opposition to continued lockdowns. With the threat of variants though, they need to be so cautious.
SNG001 would (subject to results) be another great tool to help the fight against all strains while booster vaccines are developed. This would allow the govt to continue easing restrictions and follow the roadmap.
That's a long way of saying I agree gggg. I think the NIHR and others will be among the first to know results of the home trial, if they don't already.
Gggg - remember that narrative has already started.

That's why it depends on what timescale your looking at. It's rise 1000%+ over the last 12 months, so definitely not stable if we look at that.
If I knew any answers I would be a rich man. It's just about risk if your looking at the next 6 weeks. If you think it'll fall another 20% then best to sell now and buy back in. Eva used to be quite successful at that. The risk is news landing while youre waiting for your buy in price and missing out.
@Kevin
The share price has remained pretty stable - just depends on the timeline I suppose

Your predictions have been more accurate than mine so far Aston. Just now, I thought we would be somewhere between £2-£2.50, but we are where we are.
Nobody likes seeing the value of their share account dwindling like it has this week. As long as the company succeeds though I will be happy. If I only see £3 per share, I might be a bit disappointed because I think there is more potential but profit is profi and that would still be a nice return.
Have a nice night Aston - feel like it's going to be a long weekend while the wait for news continues.
And I out myself into that category sometimes too. I've had a few moans on here about the pace of progress and lack of updates. Usually then calm down a bit and see sense shortly afterwards.
There is nothing wrong with people getting edgy and nervous every now and again, we all have something at stake here. Just need to keep a sense of balance though.
I can honestly say I don't have an agenda.
Plenty of people are called out for posts of £20 per share (and beyond). I recall pulling up Schwartz (wherever he is now) and asking people not to write Boooooom everytime we see a rise above 5%.
I've never once attacked your valuation. We can only go by the news we know just now, so as things stand of course £3-£5 is more realistic than £30-£50. We have no idea what quantities may be sold or when - that's what will drive the valuation.
There are plenty of others here who want to write their own narrative. Big is ****ging off someone posting a link to Synairgen joining a trade thing, but that's a fact - they have joined. Undisputable. Yet trying to cause an argument. Big hasn't given anything factual tonight, nor have you. If you can evidence that manufacturing hasn't started then please go ahead. If you have proof that the SP is lowering for reasons other than normal market fluctuations then please share....
If you just want to moan because things are more difficult than we wanted then there is nothing wrong with that either, but Synairgen haven't exactly been forthcoming with info previously so you should have considered all that before investing.
Big - you can't say here is an example, then post something which isn't an example. What you've posted there is your interpretation of behaviours and views on this board.
An example would have referenced something factual, like an actual post evidencing your point.
I think your last point highlights why people have turned on you tonight though Big. The questions you ask are perfectly valid questions to be asking. But you come on here with such a negative, aggressive tone - looking for an argument rather than an answer.
You always have a series of demands about what the company could be doing better, a sense of entitlement that things should be your way. The company didn't come begging for you to invest. There has been a lack of news for months and you could have walked at any time, but didn't. You now just come across as bitter because you could have taken a bigger profit some months ago but you took a gamble you now regret.
