#TANZANIA: POWER RATIONING ON THE WAY?

TANESCO, a state-run power company announces an unexpected shortfall of up to 345MW on the national grid.

The utility firm says that the Kihansi, Kidatu and Pangani dams are at critically low water levels due to climate change.

Aminex is pleased to announce that it has received full payment from the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation ("TPDC") pursuant to the agreement with the TPDC. As previously announced, after distribution of JV partner shares of the gas sales and remittance of indirect taxes and export duties the Company will retain approximately US$1.85 million.

Good news and another green light, the Tanz Gov have paid up.

Maybe they were on a retainer + hourly rate and all the calls from Frank put the costs up 5000% ;0)

I certainly expected some com's on the 3D? Too early to make any judgements about any buyer imo but certainly the closer shareholders get to Christmas and the drill date, the less inclined we will be to accept an offer.

"ARA Petroleum Tanzania Limited ("APT") has confirmed, further to the award of the seismic acquisition contract announced on 24 September 2021, that mobilisation of seismic team has commenced and the first phase of the seismic shoot will begin on 15 November 2021. The team will complete the second phase of the seismic shoot in Q1 2022 after the Tanzanian rainy season."

Holy it never flowed 1000 BOPD, that included water and other return liquids, it was a massive PH blunder, either amateur or intentionally misleading, we will never know.

The target for JKT-1 is 500 boepd, anything less will be seen as yet another failure by the BOD imo and the market will punish shareholders once again. The other point to note is the decline rates, so 500 boepd that is sustainable is what we all need, not 300 BOPD 2 months later.

Fingers crossed, in theory they can't fail, it's a side track from an existing production well.

Hi steve, you are not wrong on the number comparisons between the two types of business models.
The EPS would generate $11 million pre taxes etc and the FFD $40 million PA but requires the export gas pipeline to Uganda and Kenya to be built and operational. There is also the outstanding confirmation on who will build and pay for the 35km EPS connection pipeline, based on history it would probably be the TPDC but it would add to the JV costs for EPS if not.

Dan, you clearly have not read any one of the presentations in terms of the projects (sector) spend and EBITA

steve has a valid point regarding EBITA v Cost for the two models but you of course have to consider the risks and timeline factors when dealing in Tanzania.

Just need the TPDC to agree post CH1 to build the 35km connection pipeline as per usual and contribute something.

BH did not chose the direction of this drill, they only assisted in the execution. It was drilled in the wrong spot, no one but BLOE are to blame for that.

I imagine that many shareholders now wish they had voted the other way last time, but the push here was strong from some posters supporting the BOD and running a smear campaign against the very people that maybe could have made a difference.

We are where we are I guess and it's a good result at JKT-01 or probably bust.

Well looks like we can write off WR-B1a, probably be 0 bopd by Christmas, so all hopes ow on the next side-track or it's pretty much game over here. Cash must be tight as well so expect the begging bowl post JKT-01
