Unsurprising that the share price recovered some ground today. There was a little commentary on the costs: 7 months running costs compared to 3 months revenue and the share based payments were said to be more front-end loaded. We'll probably not know about the details of the shares until we see half-year figures so that's a big unknown for the running expenses side but the 7-mth point shifts the dial significantly.

I suspect it all means that the business will become profitable by mid-year - Melissa agreed with the statement that it would be profitable by the end of the year but I interpret that now to mean it will be profitable for FY25.

I expect the SP will be in three figures by the end of the year.

Timing is everything. I expect there's a fair bit of cash sitting out there looking for a home. Let's hope some of it finds its way to Chile.

Right now, I suspect we have more to gain with improved terms of trade with the EU and any deal is probably more reliable than one with Donald Trump that might be worth less than the paper it is written on.

FWIW, I have no agenda to reopen discussions on rejoining the EU or the Customs Union.

Not to mention it being a good time to release upgraded targets for Chrome and PGM - this week or next.

I guess we should welcome this respite. And very happy to have rounded out my ISA this year with a small BUR top-up. Now if my next big problem is how much of my investment I might recoup at £10, I'll be quite happy. Only a few weeks ago, this was a buying trigger.

Maybe the Trump backtrack will help change the sentiment of the market and get people buying again.

So the best response to a tariff from our second biggest trading partner is not to attempt to agree a better arrangement with our biggest. Even if you still think leaving the EU was a good idea, Europhobia reaches absurd levels if you don't welcome improved trading conditions with out closest neighbour.

Of course they will strike a hard bargain but - as the Don likes to say - we don't have the cards.

BGO was so close to being included in this year's ISA. Kicking myself now that I opted for another stock (which only rose 5.4% today)

Indeed. But there is also a discount applied for a business not making "profit" and yet to prove a strategy. I found some room in this year's ISA for around 4000 shares and they look good to hold for the medium term. I sold some of the shares in the GIA today, largely to manage exposures, so missed out on a little bonus from the late afternoon price rise. I'm not entirely convinced that the broader market is pricing correctly the Trump tariffs so wanted to top up the coffers for round 2 of proceedings. Round 1 was perfectly timed for ISA investors.

The board, if I haven't forgotten, is one dedicated to the benefits of holding Legal and General shares and you can rest assured that none of my investment decisions here will have or will be based on anything you say. I like to invest rationally and the yield here is as stupid levels - for which I suppose we can thank your best mate at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

It's the delay which is triggering this madness.

By the by, does anyone know how the warrants in the recent capital raise "attach". I have some of these shares sitting in a GIA alongside other "normal" shares but am hesitant to make any trades there for fear that the warrants will disappear if the shares I sell are a vertical tranche of all the ones I own. AJ Bell tell me that the warrants attach when they are exercisable which means I would be left holding all of my shares for at least a year before I get the warrants.

After a little deliberation I decided to unfilter Thedetector. I figured I would learn more from hearing his misguided nonsense than I would from not. It will make the board a little more cluttered but we don't have anything to flag posters as "dubious sources" so I'll just have to remember the name along with Finlay for the Trump fan clubs.

They are both sensitive to criticism because they realise they are wrong but don't want to admit it. There only response is a classic Trump play of attacking the writer rather than the message. Brave boys that they are sitting behind their screens with their "witty" put downs.

If they are going to engage in a grown up debate, I would welcome their comments. But personal attacks or belittling remarks are probably best reported.

Now that the shares are trading at a nice discount, I found room for them with this year's ISA allowance at a price only 2% higher than what I paid a year ago.

Dividends due at the end of the week which will be reinvested.
