Expecting positive results here but I took the profits from the shares I bought earlier this month at c£12.80. Would be nice to see my investment here in positive territory for once.

While recognising this is not a popular view on this board, Net Zero has not been consigned to the bin because it is a prerequisite for human survival. We can't deny the pressing need to decarbonise.

Some of those comments about bruising related to e-commerce which is said to be more mobile and not tied to a brand. Which may be true but then so is the opposite; when the problem is solved it can just as easily return.

There is a risk of second-order impacts if the effect on systems is affecting other aspects of quality. I noticed one or two small things at the weekend which are fairly trivial but if they are symptoms of hidden problems, then that becomes more concerning. But for the most part, shelves are stocked and stores look to be operating normally. The sooner it is resolved, the sooner the market can file this issue away.

I don't think $13bn is going to be a large market in 20301.

The weekend of bad headlines will not be doing us any favours. Sentiment can be a fickle friend which obviously makes good news for those willing to add to their positions. I shall be looking forward to losing money on my long term holding in the coming days.

"Under the terms of the Acquisition, if completed, LDG through Fixtaia will be issued unlisted, non-voting B ordinary shares in Aegros Dominium Limited ("Equityco") (a holding company of Bidco) in consideration for each Alliance Share held (the "Equityco B Shares"). Accordingly, LDG is expected to receive, through Fixtaia, 71,165,281 Equityco B Shares in exchange for its Alliance shareholding."

Naturally they won't want to pay more than they have too but there is some irony that the prospect of a loan notes deal seems to have sent investors running which is a little ironic because it makes a takeover a little easier.

What I think people are missing is that any deal involving loan notes will be more expensive because a lot of investors will not want to hold these instruments - put simply, cash is king in this game. They obviously can't raise this themselves otherwise they would take this route in which case the offer in the form of loan notes will have to be higher to get the necessary votes that they need.

I can't see them getting the 22% votes they need without a decent offer.

Sooner than I was expecting. Four more days to pick these up and the past few days appear to show money arriving before it joins the main market and the ETF money starting pouring in.

I think it safe to ignore any market indicators you might like to follow and instead trust to basic supply and demand logic.

Genghis, I believe we are not getting cash for the APH shares. Rather we are getting shares in the acquisition vehicle.

Thanks, I missed that detail. And no problems with the placement of the "e" in my name. It's wrong to start with. ;-)

There are many smarter or more knowledgeable people than me who have remarked on the valuation being somewhat detached from the fair valuation. It's a great buy opportunity though, for my part, I was sufficiently overweight by end Feb. But I should have topped up early April, if only to acquire a few free shares through trading, and I'm don't recall why I didn't.

There is this risk but I thought the related party only had 53% so will need nearly half the remaining shareholders to support the deal so don't have all the cards to force through their deal. Not that I subscribe to the idea that they have to be fair as lawyers - there are plenty of lawyers who carry out questionable practices and you don't see too many of them disbarred for it.

In my mind, the biggest risk is that the deal is not unreasonable (relative to SP rather than NAV/share) but that the loan note holders have limited protection to stop the value of ANX getting transferred internally to allow the buyers to extract the value that is currently there

Where did you get those details from? I only established that everyone who tendered their shares would get their basic allocation paid, but I didn't see any information to establish what proportion someone like me, who tendered 100% would get. Guessing it's 21-22%.

All seems fine in SE1 too. Not surprised that the SP took a sizeable hit and, from what I saw yesterday, things were a little chaotic which will put off customers from stores that are fully automated. But if the front end is running smoothly now, that's the main thing. Happy enough to pick up the shares I sold last week for a token profit but a fairly sizeable CGT deferral.
