Well I can't just ignore this price. Time for another top-up

The news is the confirmation. Perhaps a large part of this was "priced in" but markets like certainty and this news removes one element of uncertainty. Importantly this gives the necessary boost for a successful ASX launch so we can almost take that as banked.

Other upcoming news is the release of product to off-takers and reserve determination (October) and the PFS completion in December, along with CEOL confirmation around the same time.

For full timetable, the Annual Report covers this so nothing new there about 2027. All running to plan.

Can someone remind me what they are calling the 2nd region? I thought they had renamed it from Francisco Basin to Viento Andino earlier this year. But the RNS still refers to it by the older name.

2027 is when the money starts rolling in (£bns). Plenty to do before then including raising the £300m of capital to bring it into production.

If you think this is overvalued, then sell (or don't buy). The company has 10 years worth of orders and aren't even all that exposed to UK spending.

While rumours of peace will perhaps lead to people selling the defence stocks, the longer term drivers for defence stocks remain. You can pick among a number of options but BA is the choice pick among the FTSE companies.

More by accident than design, I've made over 20% IRR on this stock this year and they are trading now around 15% below consensus target.

I did wonder why they released this as an RNS. Unlike the previous one, this looked like something that could have been captured in a trading update. I don't think my view of the company has been materially uplifted by news of a new client.

I'll take the positive market sentiment obviously and happy to see more news from the company - noting also that this was picked up in the news section. And there's still some way to go before the company is trading at fair value so I won't be rushing to bank any gains until I start breaching exposure limits.

Bit of a muted response from the market today. I would have thought a sizeable dividend increase and NAV increase would have been better received.

I can't complain of course but the future returns look rosey too.

Still time for this to break through the 8p level today.

I noted that he labelled this a "recovery" buy. I don't know if this has a specific meaning in markets but to me it suggests a somewhat distressed state of affairs.

The rest of the article is the same old story that we all know. Plenty of value in the company but no mention of the shareholding in GenIP granted to Gross to the expense of TEK.

I can only speak for the current stated strategy as a early capital investor and of the separation of GenIP as a B2B services company from the investment side. As for the failure of the business to generate shareholder returns or see its value reflected in the share price, I'd argue that this not a consequence of the strategy itself but from a range of other factors that lead to a failure to realise the value of the investments. Whether that is poor selection of investments, poor cost management, weak governance, you can pick. - though obviously I don't want them to find poor new investment ideas.

It's a safe enough accumulation strategy and doesn't even need the share price to increase. Close to 10% yield with dividends reinvested at a c4% discount to the current price. It's not completely risk-free but if you want that you can buy index-linked gilts yielding a little more than 4%.

It never hurts to know a little about how the company is operating at the front office, even if it can be a little anecdotal in nature. It is where the company earns its money and if business is up or down in the stores, we'll eventually get to see it in the results.

750p was a nice point to take another slice of profits. Still plenty of upside here though if management can't justify helping themselves to company profits, there's plenty of risks for shareholders.

Nelson, I think this is one of the main reasons the price is so heavily discounted. The business strategy is fine and I would even like them to find new investments - GenIP is more of a reorganisation than a new start up - as there must be plenty of new ideas buzzing among PhD students.

But as I have always stressed, the long term value in TEK remains and it will emerge in cash over time so I'll just sit on my shares and wait for the money. 7p is still a ridiculous price for what we have hear despite the governance issues.

Might be better to use the correct currency - if there is a 35p figure here, I can't see it.

Unfortunately this was 30 June when TEK's share of SALT was worth £31m. It's now worth £17m which loses a sizeable chunk of the NAV per share.

Of course, the value of TEK's holding in SALT is still worth more than TEK itself.

I think TEK could sell LUCY shares if they needed to, maybe they are even doing it now. But we are in the fortunate position that they do not need to raise any more money for some time now which allows room for the more substantial holdings to yield something.

Legache, posting things like that here, you might as well have claimed "Biden has a few decent policies" in the middle of a MAGA rally. It's not the place for a balanced political argument as there are too many voices here who still view Labour as a Corbynite/Marxist sect and fail to distinguish between a speech at a party conference with the government of the country.

I won't begin to claim that Labour have hit the ground running - quite the opposite, a lot of the new government's initial steps have been fairly amateur. But they'll learn quickly that you can't appease the unions at the same time as the markets.

As has been mentioned here more times than I could count, the O&G tax measures will hit HMT revenue as well as many key jobs. Once Labour get their act together, there'll be some softening of the measures. But if they don't, there is a real danger that the industry will largely disappear.
