Whilst most will agree the governments handling of test and trace has been incompetent, they cant buy a test that doesn't exist, need to look closer to home if Avacta want someone to blame for the SP, no real progress in months, has consequences on the SP whether we like it or not, will the test be available for beyond march 2021, will we be able to dislodge existing contract winners, very much doubt it.

The guy is corrupt to the core, we have seen placing after placing in order to keep the lights on, then it turns out he invested $750K in EMA (which is AP mining V2). He has sucked the life out of this company with shareholder dilution after dilution. If he needs to buy christmas presents for his kids there will be another placing, Oh hold on a minute he's already orchestrated giving a large share in VAST to his son for nothing !!

The AbC-19 Rapid Test is currently CE marked for professional use which is used for surveillance studies. The government will continue to order on that basis and that is what the DHSC is referring to when it states ‘They were never intended for, and have never been issued for widespread public use…’

It is still the intention of the Consortium to gain self-test approval. Once the Consortium gain self-test approval this will allow for other use cases to be deployed by the DHSC.

Omega therefore still believes the UK-RTC test has a wider role to play in tracking immunity throughout the community.

The use case for the breathalyser test has to change if we want to make a ground breaking change, The reader has to be available in home for a reasonable cost (less than £100). If they can achieve that and the test is proven accurate, that is the game changer for mass testing

Todays RNS smacks of desperation from AP, the recent volumes clearly have not been enough to shift the placing shares and he is probably getting a slap from the MM's, so had to dig about in an old cupboard for "new" information to try and stir up some interest, why issue this now when we are expecting news on first sales?

It seems the Chinese people are more capable of following simple instructions than the UK, or their government at least gives them more credit.

"The authors of the paper in the BMJ have misunderstood the purpose of the AbC-19 test. It is not designed to detect “previous infection” but rather to detect the presence of a particular type of antibody: IgG to the full spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus."

Dr Alexander Edwards , basically says less expert users are incapable of reading tests unless they "have an app for that"
