Being fair, just because there has been a glut of selling, it doesn't mean spreadbets have been sold down, so indeed IG may well be still at their limit.
Warehousing for clients is not allowed by MM, you can't gather a million shares then they just handed over. You can place an order with a MM and they will fill it as close to your prices as poss, but the transaction is declared each day on a print, as far as I'm aware.
You can't just "gather" a holding for someone and suddenly hand it over....

Last few days Peel, Berenberg & Marex have all been offering sizes that they don't normally offer - in most cases double - Peel 100k,Marex 60k+, Berenber 60k+
This is not all the time but a fair chunk of the time. And it doesn't matter how much is bought up, the pricing doesn't move. They sit at the top, just feeding in.
The last time this happened what just before the Launch raise, which they obviously all knew was coming.....
