ShareTag, before we continue this delightful exchange, could you please look up how and where to use apostrophes as you keep using them for plural's and I'm afraid I just can't abide it any longer. It's getting my goat, ShareTag, rubbing me up the wrong way, messing with my miagi feng shui, p*ssing me right off.....you get the idea :)

Nothing bizarre, I'm invested here ShareTag. What's much more bizarre is those posting here daily and sometimes hourly with no financial interest in Nuog.

And as for losing the argument, how exactly does highlighting an almost 1000% increase lose the argument?!

Roy, there is an objective, statistical reason why this was best performing share and some of us were here to experience the rocket boom behind those statistics so, when you say "why would anyone want to sign up to another three years of this?!?" there may be a number of hands that go up and say 'yes please!'.

You have a personal beef with Minty and dress it up as a lack of faith in the company, yet despite Keni's repeated requests you seem unable to answer the question of who his 'second coming' successor will be and why you feel that change will make all the difference. With this constant hot air from you on the topic, presumably you're planning to be invested long enough to reap the benefits of that change. If so then perhaps stop sinking your own ship with your incessant 'friendly fire'??

One thing I do agree with you on is that talk of timescales outside of official comms is probably best avoided, as most posters seem to be coming to realise....

Which begs the question, why are you pushing so hard to get Minty out? Roy, just catching up on posts and read your reply. About the only accurate part in relation to my intention is that yes, I believe that an element of the anticipated news is subject to forces greater than the date of the Nuog AGM. As for when news will drop, I would only manage expectations if I had some kind of knowledge of timescales. I am as clueless as the rest of us on here have proven to be regarding timescales and would make no attempt whatsoever at guessing. There's just as much chance the element of news I'm talking about could arrive before the AGM as after, as I believe the AGM date has little or no bearing on it. That is just my opinion of course and, to reiterate, I accept Sharelock's point that other elements of news may be more within Nuog's control and so could indeed be accelerated by the pressure of a FUBAR AGM.

It's a pity you appear to be some kind of Bob parody most of the time these days Roy as you actually make some valid points now and again.....without being patronising, I would suggest addressing whatever beef you have with Minty through other channels. The pantomime villain we always seem to have at some point on here is rather unbecoming of an eloquent Scot like yourself.....

Roy, little bundle of positivity that you are, I'm not 'kicking the can' as you so eloquently put it...I'm as keen as anybody to receive news sooner rather than later and there's no reason why it shouldn't arrive sooner than AGM if something is concluded. I was simply making the point that the AGM of one party involved in a large negotiation would be of little significance to others involved in the deal. I did, however, also acknowledge Sharelock's subsequent point that there may be certain elements of news that Nuog have more control over.

I was merely stating that adding deadlines to suit personal circumstances aren't always a sensible course of action. Apologies if my posts don't suit your 'Minty out' agenda but hey ho, each to our own, huh?

P.S. As you say Sharelock, hopefully some of it is within Nuog's control and I would definitely see the logic there of producing something by the AGM....who knows, could even be sooner, just not attaching quite so much importance to 25th Jan as some are.

Fair points Sharelock although I'm still unconvinced Alan's/Nuog's personal situation re: AGM will carry enough weight with other companies involved to force a deal/result specifically in time for the Nuog AGM.....I will be very happy if it does make that crucial difference of course! Thanks for clarifying Wob.....we all have to draw our own lines so can't fault you there!

I have to say I don't really understand why so much focus is on the AGM as a deadline for delivery? Is it because Christmas has passed and it's the next logical milestone for people to draw their own lines in the sand? If so then I'm afraid that's all it is imo, dates to draw personal lines in the sand, as there is little else to support the logic.

If the company is negotiating deals of the complexity and scale to which they have alluded, the AGM date of one of the many parties involved will be of little relevance to the completion date of the deal. I agree that Alan will be keen to deliver something in order to avoid a messy AGM but other than that I can see little point in attaching so much importance to the AGM date as a deadline...just my opinion, of course.

With respect to SBP and seadog, and any religious people put there, I don't think quoting a work of fiction will help the case on either side of the Nuog divine divide....

I think Barry posted that here previously but from memory he spoke to MJ and he said nothing going on with Nuog. I might have remembered that wrong so feel free to correct me if anyone recalls Barry's posts. Also unlikely of course that MJ is going to tell a random caller exactly what's going on, so your take could still end up being accurate....

If all these are rollovers then shouldn't we be seeing some matching sells?
