One angle that just occurred to me as someone who isn't party to privileged info and therefore restricted to interpreting the second hand stuff flying around......if Minty is fighting this hard to retain his crown, I'm taking that as a positive in that he presumably wouldn't be fighting to remain the face of a sinking ship....just a thought.....

Thanks WW....Minty must be riled indeed if he's taken to replying to PIs directly rather than palming off to Simon. Some interesting chat over on advfn for once.....difficult to keep up with all the theories and supposed intel flying around. As someone else mentioned yesterday, would very much appreciate updates on Friday if and when attendees are able to.

As annoyed as people seem to be with him, an amicable outcome would seem best result imo too. He isn't just going to disappear into the ether, regardless of the outcome of his re-election, so best to work with rather than against I would have thought. Btw, if they are bringing a new heavy hitter in then where are the funds coming from to cover that?! Surely something must still be in the imminent offing given they don't seem to be scrabbling around for a P&D placement route...?

WW, was there any rhyme or reason to the shareholders Alan emailed? I assumed it was just the insiders but I've been in fairly regular contact with Simon since he started and am feeling a bit left out that I didn't get a Minty lashing too.....

Thanks for the reply LT. I do still believe you share things here in good faith and in the interests of less informed posters. However, the talk of 'deals by x date' is almost as damaging as daily moans from Roy (Roy, I know you've softened a bit now before you wade in for round 2) as it sets us all up for a fall when those dates pass.

Appreciate the intention behind it as I think you truly believe what you post but whatever happens on Friday, hopefully post-AGM can be a new dawn for Nuog and a new dawn for these discussion boards, which have become cesspits of 'goodies' and 'baddies' these last months.....Nuogbots, roll out....or something along those lines. If the new guy has the voice of Optimus Prime then all bets are off on the boom boom front.

Thanks for sharing LT. It is odd though that those with access to privileged info see fit to share 'deal completed by dates' and info as sensitive as that, yet it takes until now to share something that could have saved days of confusion and debate. Not a personal criticism of LT, more an observation of how damaging this insider stuff can be when they can pick and choose what they share. Have to say I agree with those who are calling for an end to the insider list.

I read your post the first time Roy. So you want me to take against someone because you have had a personal spat with them? Grow up buddy, I've only just come around to the idea that you might not be as scheming as you previously seemed, however you still potentially did damage to this share and affected the decisions of others. Threats are unnecessary but you are hardly an angel.....you've gone up in estimations today, don't let it slide again by monopolising the discussion board over another personal beef.

I don't need to be careful about anything Roy, that's my observation from what I've seen of his posts on advfn compared to the other lunatics on there. I've read some of Faz's posts on Twitter and yes, it may be that he keeps calling it wrong and has an agenda, however, I respect him for protecting his investment against Gary, John and the other idiots on Twitter who like to stir the Nuog pot. It may also be that Faz has had a solid tip-off on news but, just like every other poster, has been wrong on timescales so far.

He hasn't been sniffing around Nuog long so he's hardly a perennial troublemaker....clearly something has piqued his interest and I recall that Chan, I think it was, vouched for him in Twitter group discussions. Let's see how the week plays out.

I think you may be right canaries and it's a pity as I personally placed no real significance on the AGM date vis-a-vis deal completion as I didn't deem it important enough to other parties involved in the deal(s). Granted it may influence other deals/curve balls more under their control but I agree, both positive and negative posters on here seem to have set us up for an unnecessary cliff edge re: AGM date. MajorMiner, agreed and post recommended.

I'm still holding on to the hope that something good may be imminent, though whether that is blind faith or not remains to be seen. I have always been quick to call out those I see as the trolls on here as they tend to be fairly easy to spot. I have placed also trust in the seemingly more legitimate posters on here, which I now appreciate is a fool's game when we barely know each other from Adam on these boards.

I am big enough to apologise to Roy if he had good intentions that were delivered in a clumsy way. My issue with his posts was that they were so prolific, mostly negative and on a public forum. That in itself who could have led other investors or would-be investors to make decisions based on what he was posting. At the time I saw it as de-ramping and called it out as such. However, I can't ignore the fact that those posters in whom I have placed more trust, have posted details and timescales on here that could just as easily influence the decisions of others and possibly more so. If this was done in good faith to 'spread the word' because you were party to privileged information and didn't want others to miss out, then I can accept that. However, someone was clearly playing a game or deliberately misleading at some point in the chain as none of those predictions have yet come to fruition. I still believe those who say something is on the cards and soon, however, I think someone has been playing silly b*ggers for personal gain, be it Minty or the posters themselves.

I have certainly learnt a lot from reading and posting on here, however, I suspect what I've learnt is more about human behaviour than real, valuable information about the share in which I'm invested. It's an outlet for people, a place to share frustrations and opinions; anything more should be approached with caution, as I'm coming to appreciate.

The point also is why would the two companies start working against each other, regardless of the outcome re: Minty? They appear to be inextricably linked in various ways....what would be the point in undoing all of that? It's clear some know more than they are letting on and as usual this is leading to yet more speculation, a lot of which I suspect is just that, speculation.

Looks like another can of worms open to interpretation until we obtain clarification; fingers crossed Friday brings that or these boards will have enough fuel to keep the rampers and de-rampers in gainful employment for months to come.....
