Bebeto, I've seen similar comments re late Friday RNS's before, but tbh Yes it avoids stk market reaction on the Friday, but simply defers to the Monday !!
Can't see any real advantage either way. I would hope the stk market professionals are the latter and have controls to ensure they don't miss any communications issued between their Fri finish and Mon start, but maybe that's why the late Fri RNS ??!!
Anyway, I'm holding GCAT as a LTH so hopefully things will work out. Is the Chairmen a loss anyway ? Maybe his replacement - new blood and all that - will be better ? My gains on Centamin are pacing my losses on GCAT !! Some you win, some you lose !!

Roofer61, Doubt NielseniQ would knock the sp. BATS is in a different safer grouping to other consumer products. Alpha Research only yesterday rated BATS highly with a BUY due to its current product growth and defensive properties in a recession.

Megla, Interesting what you write. WHT / EL situation just shows how inept, and I would argue 'corrupt', Govts can be when faced with desperate situations. A tax of 75% on any entity when others are paying far less cannot be morally justified and, when a Govt does it, it reduces their moral standing which has its own consequences. BP and SHEL lost billions leaving Russia and that should also be taken into account. Footballers and others paid c £30m pa are surely in the Windfall category (every year due to demand for their skills !!) and why not increase taxes on them ? Who really needs that kind of excessive income ?!! I hope HBR very soon announce a feasible 3 year plan to refocus their investments out of UK territory.

Yea stevie, I was around in the 2000/2001 tech bubble !! A few prominent names went under, eg Marconi. Darktrace though is in a more valuable sector because of increased cyber attacks - they increase in a recession if anything due to some businesses perceived to be cutting back on security, saving pennies but losing pounds - so can't see it falling much more. After all, it has more than halved from 2022 highs and is quarter of all time highs. Averaging down cautiously is what I'm doing, think 2 years time or even sooner !!

y11, you certainly need to learn to spell, whatever about other educational shortfalls. Russian oil at USD60 is like the cheap airline seats. When they're gone they're gone !! Demand for oil is greater than supply so the non-Russian oil can be sold for market price. Today various sources say the oil price is falling due to more recessionary fears with no mention of the Russian oil cap affecting it. However, I do feel that the cap puts some downward pressure on bnon-Russian oil prices. OPEC+ hopefully will cut production soon as they indicated last Sunday.

y11, the cap is on Russian oil, not non-Russian oil. Russian sea-shipped oil cannot be bought by EU and cannot meet most of the global demand so the existence of a Russian oil cap shouldn't be a factor in the current fall in oil price.

Re BBC article: From 5th Dec EU won't be buying sea borne Russian oil anyway. Thus EU will be paying market price for their non Russian oil which will be much higher...demand and supply will ensure Brent well above USD60 especially with the criminal WT.

So if the cap is USD60 for Russian oil and Russian oil doesn't satisfy demand from EU, what will EU pay for non-Russian oil ? Should get interesting !!

You yourself should examine your own English grammar to decide how literate you yourself are in English, eg 'Maybe you was deflecting because you was hoping for a higher price when actually it looks like oil price are too.....' has 3 grammar mistakes at least. I respect that more than likely English is not your first language, but you shouldn't criticise others about something unless you are perfect in it yourself.
