It won’t happen Ria, and if it did, it wouldn’t make a difference to the SP. This share has big three rockets that need the fuses lighting; 1.) Croda reveal what their extra claims are and/or begin marketing the product on which we get royalties. 2.) SBTX announces it is soon to or has completed on an acquisition which makes the group profitable. 3.) A deal is agreed with a multinational on the Axis pillar and we get royalties on big firepower sales, either as powder or as a food product etc.
There are also smaller items that could propel the share price a bit. For example news on Clean or MediBiotix, some promising commercial news following on from the oral study or the inflammation study, or some significant marketing method is discovered on our small budget which has a material affect on Axis sales. Italy launch will not be that catalyst I’m afraid.
There is also the potential that SA may see the bombed out share price and start marketing the shares again. We know he believes in the company, I think he has been a very busy man. But when I first invested in SBTX the market heard from Stuart very regularly and he also spoke to institutional investors. This obviously helps a small cap to keep in the limelight, and he hasn’t put much effort in to this recently. Maybe he feels he has nothing new to market, but when he does, watch it pick up. I’ve seen 20% rises in a single day here on several occasions, sometimes making it onto the LSE’s 5 top risers of the day email. Alas, these events should be celebrated and not expected on a daily basis.
Yes Aquae I’d love to see 1m in equity traded for ITV advertising, once the company has its own brand Skinbiotix products as well as AxisBiotix. Geoff Bell must have been doing something creative for the past 18 months, it can’t have all been providing operations support for AxisBiotix.
Fj, I completely agree with your point that a delay is never good for a company or share price. But, is this really a delay in that sense? Croda have found an enhancement and so we have added layers of work before completion. Yes I suppose if you purely look at time, it is a delay, but only in the same way that when England qualify past the group stages in a World Cup, it delays the team getting home. It’s certainly very enjoyable for the fans to see a better eventual outcome, and in this analogy the fans are us investors. I’d rather win the cosmetic World Cup than I would be on the same level as 32 other competitors (retinol, Matrixyl etc), even if it would mean that we could have a product on that level now (as in commercialised).
Just my thoughts on that one.
Ria20, it’s cheap alright, no doubts there. I may be tarring you with the wrong brush here, and if that’s true I apologise in advance, but if you are after a purchase followed by an extremely quick rise and a quick sell, you’ll probably be disappointed. As Elrico says this is a decent share for wealth building if we are right in sharing Mr. Ashman’s vision. We could have incremental rises based on the several other pillars, but I don’t think we’ll see the explosion I suspect you are hoping for until we confirm what Croda are getting at, a multinational agreement for Axis pillar is signed or we complete an acquisition which makes the whole group profitable.
Completely agree with Aquae’s opinions on all points raised there.
Room for improvement, but overall things are still looking extremely good here. Especially from this current low share price. I think there is a very minimal downside here following the Croda RNS, but the potential for a big increase. I cannot think of another share currently that offers this risk/reward ratio, which is positive for all LTH here that have kept the faith over the years.
That’s exactly the case Mol. It is what it is I suppose, but what I take from it is that Croda have made a material discovery on top of what they already saw as revolutionary science. It’s a big deal, and Croda themselves are a big deal. It’s only 6 months until the studies begin, it’s not a lot of time compared to the life cycle of the product. Matrixyl has earned Croda billions since around the millennium. If Croda think they can improve on Skinbiotix, we shareholders, as owners of the IP, would be crazy to suggest they hurry up and shove it to market now. Although I would be interested to hear what SA would say if Elric asked him why they haven’t released a basic version now, to then release an enhanced version next year. I’m sure there would be a reason.
So the RNS today extends the timeline somewhat, but further enhances the premium upside of Skinbiotix. Croda seem very committed, and have clearly found something worth delaying production starting on the €5m manufacturing facility they paid for. I’m surprised by the drop on the news, oversold in my view and only right it recovered. I think people expect such huge things from Ashman and this company that even a good RNS is punished for not being explosive.
I feel like this company has a secret, a good one, which the market quite rightly isn’t valuing at the moment due to the NDA secrecy. I don’t think we’ll properly rerate until we know what this secret is, but will hope for a reasonable rise in anticipation for the reveal of the enhanced claims. If the enhancements weren’t significant Croda would not delay launch by a year, that’s for sure.
Certainly an interesting spot though Rocktapper. As you have already realised, unfortunately it isn’t our technology, ours isn’t peptide based. But it’s intriguing to see the marketing launch for a product in a similar field. Shortly after reading your post, Royal Mail visited my house with one item, which was coincidentally a fold out flyer for that very product with a paper card for extra boots advantage card points. I think with it being a bit more mass market than Axis, the advertising for products containing our tech should be a lot more visible and I’m sure that will be a bit more exciting for us as investors and for the share price!
Oleric, that’s an awfully big argument you’ve put together over the wording of a sentence. I’m perfectly happy to reword my statement to show that the product helped 70% of participants that completed the study. That’s still remarkable. To me that only indicates 1/3 of people that take part in a free trial are likely to be unreliable people, no matter what reason they give for dropping out. The theorem that 70% is a fair number is reinforced by the retention rate.
I come across very few people that imply any kind of issue with the product working, including on trustpilot, where the company asks for genuine customer reviews without any kind of attempts at pre qualification to understand if the customer actually liked the product, which is brave.
The issue has been getting sales, this is slowly improving and the board have switched strategies for this reason.
Furthermore, we are talking about one product in one pillar. As the first revenue stream for SBTX, it is understandable that it has defined the company so far and dictated the SP during its unsuccessful launch period. Soon, Axis-PS will be one string in a bow.
With Croda behind the launch of Skinbiotix, the chances of a successful launch are many times multiplied. It’s the difference between you opening ‘Oleric’s Burgers’ in a town centre and McDonalds opening in the same town centre. What will this upcoming launch do to the SBTX share price when it happens? Let the reader decide.
Oleric: “I have no agenda re the company” - so is that confirmation you do have a vendetta against Elrico? And if that is the case, why do you use negativity about imaginary problems with the company and it’s products to assist your defamation of Elrico? (I mean, it’s practically a rhetorical question; you popped up with your name an anagram of his and have mentioned him in many of your posts since.)
“I only take issue with the claims made by yourself and other rampers repeatedly claiming that this product cures psoriasis, helps psoriasis” - the BRIGHT study shows it helped over 70% of participants and it didn’t help them with their weekly shop, you know very well it helped them with their psoriasis. It’s not ramping if it’s repetition of facts just because it doesn’t fit your agenda.
“I could go into detail and show how badly the results were interpreted but nobody seems interested so I won't waste time.” - You waste a lot of time talking about things nobody is interested in, yet you won’t go into the one thing you claim may prove your point? Funny, is that.
“If it does these things then it is a truly remarkable product but let’s see some evidence.” - the BRIGHT study shows over 70% efficacy, so your statement will be taken as acceptance that it is in fact a truly remarkable product.
“I hope toyin is correct re curing psoriasis but in my view ..no chance of that but I could be wrong of course.” - You are wrong, how can you possibly say a 70% efficacy in a consumer study leaves “no chance”? I’d say it leaves at least some chance.
I think you just come on here and spout drivel because you lost money. Feel free to continue, every board needs a resident timewaster, but the reason you are so consistently challenged by others is because what you say is clearly an extended campaign of nonsense designed to discredit Elric.
These losers won’t be able to make a dent in the sales of Axis when it’s with a multinational. SA will keep making progress behind the scenes, investors will have the last laugh and the psoriasis suffering public will, eventually, become able to benefit from it.
Brilliant post Toyin. When you put the situation down as articulately as you have it reaffirms for me why I invested in the first place - SBTX is like investing in multiple companies at once.
I’d also like to add that when stepping back and taking a look at the big picture and my reasons for originally investing, I’m glad we are heading back to being a low overhead, royalty collecting company.
As for the trolls, I don’t filter them either. Not because I find them funny like you, but because they remind me to keep my cool, I don’t want to be the type of person who puts money into a company that potentially can (and has in the past from less news than we have upcoming) double or triple it’s SP in the space of a few months, and then act like I have been wronged by others just because the SP goes the other way for a while. I’ve taken a big risk here for a big reward and there isn’t any facts yet that lead me to believe I won’t ever get my big reward. I think some wanted their reward a couple of weeks or months after investing. Madness, when you take that step back and think about it.
Bigpunt, of course you are entitled buy away as you wish, I wouldn’t dream of suggesting otherwise. I didn’t agree with your post yesterday but I’ve certainly recommended many of your posts in the past.
TC I think you are absolutely spot on with your short post about Croda being the catalyst. It could well be the first rung on the ladder out of this little hole we are resting in.
Bigpunt, I had considered the option that you simply didn’t trust the Nomads or the system, but I couldn’t understand why you would take the chance of investing in any shares at all with those beliefs. Each to their own, I suppose, and as much as I don’t agree with the foundations of your point I can understand where it comes from, but I do know if I had a similar opinion I wouldn’t take the risk of investing at all.
In my opinion Bigpunt, respectfully, your post is a load of rubbish.
There is a nomad for a reason. The board cannot just make up an acquisition prospect in an RNS. There are strict market rules to ensure this doesn’t happen. Your post is an attempt to spread what is nothing more than a conspiracy theory.
