Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A fair post woof, lots of sense spoken.
The only thing I disagree with, personally, is that SA’s beliefs suggest a MN deal is not imminent. You don’t invite an employee of a major multinational into your company as a formulations expert unless you both parties think it is beneficial for themselves to do so. The way the RNS’s read, as well as the way SA has spoken in recent interviews, suggest the deal could be signed this year, subject to successful results of the Acne trial. It almost as if it is a line written into a heads of terms document…
Surprised by all the selling today, the share price didn’t even really spike. The market is clearly wanting the hard hitting RNS we believe is coming. Either the Croda information, or finding out who the multinational is.
Some pretty major things there, and SA speaks as though it’s strike time and specifically clarified a timescale within the first couple of minutes. I’ve lots to say, but out of respect for Elrics journalism I won’t note them here until there has been a couple of trading sessions first.
Dvharrison, I don’t know but I doubt it, what I do know is that anyone that has bothered to buy in here and isn’t hanging on to their shares for the release of Croda’s news and marketing materials is either mad as a box of frogs or must have some serious financial needs outside of their share account!
RNS is exactly what was expected, seems to hint at further communication about the study before the end of the month. Another rung on the ladder to something meaningful. Surprised to read negativity about chewing gum on here, it’s a great carrier for our technology. Lots more kids will chew gum than they would be willing to make up an unappetising lukewarm powder drink and remember to take it on an empty stomach every day. Petrol stations do not allocate so much counter space for the sake of nostalgia.
I’m not sure how general charting principles apply when several bit of news are expected. It’s likely to fall back towards the end of each week where there has been no announcement just like it has been pushing upwards on Monday Tuesday and Wednesdays, presumably the market hoping for news on the Thursday or Friday. Like you say, nothing goes up in a straight line.
Oleric, no need to be afraid that I am correct, we can’t get to a good set of confirmed results without first starting the study. The company is running a marathon not a sprint. I know sometimes we as investors would like a sprint to an inflated share price in the short term but the company wants to build on solid foundations. We were promised several pieces of news before calendar year end. As far as I’m concerned the longer we wait for the news to start the more concentrated and punchy the effects of the multiple updates will be on the SP. I don’t care about the price this week or next because I know by the time Santa Claus comes we’ll be a stage or two ahead of where we are now.
The consumer study has not started. I can’t see why it wouldn’t be RNSable when it was for AxisPS and it would have been a great bit of filler news whilst the SP was slipping. The next RNS will announce the study dates and let us know when we will expect results.
There is every chance that a nurse or doctor in the dermatology department of any hospital would tell a patient that that can prescribe steroid, but also mention other treatments that are available if the patient wishes to pursue them. Especially if the patient is expressing the desire for something more holistic than a side effect riddled steroid. I imagine this would be rising over time, look at the Croda research into consumer trends, they cite this as a reason for their high expectations of Skinbiotix.
SBTX is a company with a lot going on and there any many different parts to understand if we are going to know what we need to know about our investments. It certainly should be a good couple of months. I’m happy for LTHs that our period of waiting in the wings is coming to an end, and a little jealous of those who are getting to take their first positions at this time and at this price. I’m happy to see one of my tranches I’ve held for years has hit profit this week! (But it isn’t going anywhere!)
Nick, just for your own reference, I think you have slightly muddled up two parts of the interview. When SA was talking about there being 4 interested parties now down to two, he was talking about woundcare. This is the same when he mentioned unashamedly playing one party off against the other, again talking about woundcare.
Aside from those points, great post.
From the USA Gov NLM (National Library of Medicine) Website:
“Chewing gum is a drug delivery system which is going to advance more and more” “it can deliver either pharmaceuticals or nutrients which are known as medicated chewing gum (MCG) and nonMCG. MCG is supposed to act as an extended release dosage form that provides a continuous release of medicine contained.[1]”
