Ace, to keep it rising you need a Bollinger Band
Absolutely Loggy. It is THE law
Sorry not to reply straight away Redirons, I was attending to my first 'thank you'. Now off to practice some Kudus-style bicycle kicks. "Back of the net" as they say...
A doubly good couple of days for me. Well back in profit and such ismy investment now that even just small movements generate significant profit and I hope that comes soon to those of you still showing a paper loss. Having persuaded my wife to shift more in to GGP in her ISA just 6 days ago at 6.20 I'm in line for something beyond monetary reward 😉
Or just accept it is a weekend with no SP movement, no news and pass on by without comment? Pretty harmless if you ask me even if not on topic. What exactly were you expecting to find here late on a Sunday?
I hv oxygenating plants both broad leaf and weed type but also I don't use mains electric but have solar fountain. I recently added a solar areator and this is helping loads. The aereating stone oxygenates from the bottom of the pond so it reccles effectively. Cheap too
I have 27 organic chickens for sale for £12.50 each if anyone wants any?
I hear those that have seen a modest rise only to take another hit soon after. Hands up that when we broke through 9 and then 11 late last year I didn't think we would go sub 9 again. To me that was significant as my average was about 8.5 at the time (it's now less). There are those still laughing at the SP being a fifth if what it was but this is an unusual share for me.
There are some lucky enough to have bought early and although they rode the highs back down to these lows they are still in good profit. Me? Like a fair few I bought a modest amount t with the hype near the all time high. But you know what? I averaged down because I could not correlate the lack of sentiment with the obvious asset and the strength ING of the path to production. We hit spanners in the works with both Newcrest and Newmont but whereas with other stocks I've bailed, with this I've increased my holding. I'm not over extended in the sense that if it goes belly up I'll still be OK, but truthfully I have a lot in this. I am very near break even again and any movement like we've seen today adds thousands to my portfolio even if I'm marginally underwater. For the honest decent folk on here this kind of rise is to be celebrated even if we have realistic caution. My belief is any knock back will be short lived. Massive congratulations to those who have hung in there. The trolls have by and large kept off the chat for now and that says everything. A little more uptick before earth moving news will be excellent. Then bring on the ASX!
Trying to find a pond to swim in that hasn't evaporated most likely
Positive start to the day. Be nice to tick up gently before news breaks in the next few weeks
I think the in the last video interview I saw SD was asked about the decline and whilst he wasn't explicit, I felt that the inference in his reply was that there wouldn't be much holding GGP back from a resumption but for the current negotiation. I have not rewatched the video but if the decline does restart soon I would envisage that the negotiation is all but complete.
For nearly two years I've been putting flax seed on my muesli when I would much have preferred replacing the milk with Coniston Brewery Old Man Ale
Regarding ISA's I believe the governments consultation on the £5k addition to the allowance for UK assets (I presume this means UK listed companies?) ends early next month. It may be small beans in the wider scheme if things but it would be welcome if this extra £5k is brought in in a timely fashion, not least with a likely autumn general election.
Presumably Culpepper it is in your interests for the SP to be suppressed until such time as you get the detail of the deal. If you want to buy back in I would imagine that you wish to do so before the price rises above the point at which you formerly sold? The problem is the big boys often get a rumble of what's going on before the PI's so it will very hard to get the detail ahead of a potential rise. Seems a high risk strategy even if for now you are not in the situation some are. Nevertheless it does seem odd that you are here potentially wanting to re-invest and yet pushing the gloom. Actually it's not odd. You want SP uncertainty until you buy back in.
This board reads more and more like a series of badly written kidnapper notes every day
I can't remember where I read it now but I'm sure Newmont wrote something along the lines that there is an imperative for them to bring maintenance and remedial works "up to the standard" that Newmont expects (the inference being that standards under Newcrest might not have been all that they should be). Greatland also flags their environmental credentials as well as their partnership with indigenous groups quite highly on their website, so I'm sure there will be serious consideration made to the Telfer liabilities with regard to the environment. That costs of course so how this is worked in to negotiation will be just one of the many cogs that need to be put in place. Quite a big cog it is too but once the pendulum is set in motion we'll be running like clockwork into the future
Good interview. No one can say the tough questions weren't asked or that it was an easy ride for SD who made himself available knowing they would be asked. No one need reply to the fudsters who continually question SD's accountability. When the idiots have any scrutiny put to them they never answer. We are in safe hands here.
I obviously saw that post Freddie, now consider the rest of my previous post and https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahpcn-bPbcc
Freddie one week ago: " my fear is that the lower aquifer becomes a real issue and it becomes non feasible to drain it or go round it" - he also wonders where "Bamps team" is.
Freddie yesterday: "We want facts not opinions"
Today good news turns up that should allay Freddie's fears of last week.
Freddie: I'll ignore the good news and find the most obtuse, witless angle on Bamps post which enters conspiratorial territory designed to disguise the fact that the fella actually brought me the news I wanted to hear (when in fact the news was in a bublicly available interview with SD all along). Because I know how far-fetched and ridiculous this all sounds I'll send in my alter-ego Doubting Tom to portray anyone who subsequently attempts to bring rational thought into the process, that we are in fact a coven of witches beholden to the lord of darkness.
Cheers Redirons. No drama. I find that whenever people use the word "lol" in a comeback they can't articulate a proper argument, so the mud flinging that I'm a liar kind of confirms that. He's just got a really weird obsession with Bamps. Quite a sad life I would think.
