RE: RNS2 Dec 2025 10:34
Totally agree re the lack of a professional here; however, the wider management have to take some responsibility too. Olivier is ex-IFC so I don't really buy this narrative which is along the lines of 'don't blame us, these elephant multinational institutions are the ones holding us up and causing us to miss our targets'. Olivier should have known this would happen yet has continued to dig a hole...
If we take 2025 alone, he said in January that FID would be by end H1. Towards end H1 he then said it would be a busy summer with everyone on holidays so it would be September. Then in September he said it'll be by end of 2025. And now, we're realistically looking at more slippage into 2026.
As others have said here, I think we can all be pretty confident that FID is going to happen. The only question now is 'when?'.
Time to kick back, dig out the Christmas tree, and keep occupied. Hopefully one day I'll wake up and find my portfolio several times larger than it is today.
Good luck everyone
