It is mental when you think about it. I've said here before that $45m is not peanuts (and it isn't), but when you think about the bigger picture, this really is a no brainer for the US Government.

$200m will give them exclusive access to a Tier 1 graphite asset that will have a life of 30+ years.

Meanwhile, Trump has been blowing about $500m PER DAY in munitions to fight his stupid little war in Iran.

@pj70 - interested to know what your thinking is on the timeline? I'm in two minds ...

(1) Positive mind - the Q1 timeline slipped but Mike/Cameron reset the timeline to H1. That makes me feel confident that they must be close and conversations / DD are (is) well progressed. This could mean a June/July timeline is realistic (to at least get a term sheet from one of the investors whilst we wait for the others to make an offer).

(2) Negative mind - Having invested in companies like this for years, I am all too aware of how long these financing processes take. Even if DD is well progressed, getting wet ink onto contracts seems to take an eternity. It also seems like there are a number of investors lined up, which means Mike will probably want to do some negotiating and trading them against each other. In this case, I'd expect Q4 (maybe Oct/Nov) as a realistic outcome.

Either case is plausible, I just don't know which one will happen. I certainly don't want to miss the boat on this, and I'm very happy to sit back and be patient, so I am staying invested for now.

I totally understand the frustrations being aired on here, but I do think the gravity of what we're dealing with is being vastly underestimated.

$45m - although on the lower-end of the scale - is no pocket change and there will be months of DD and negotiating before this gets over the line. Throw in a geopolitical storm with distracted governments & markets, and things slow down even more.

Mike clearly wants the best deal, not the quickest deal, and I have every confidence that he will get this over the line. Orom Cross is a Tier 1 asset and it has so many positive characteristics that other assets do not.

Patience will go an awfully long way on this one. Tuck those shares up in a drawer and go enjoy a few beer gardens over the summer. We will all hopefully be significantly richer come Christmas.

This company is absolute toast. When you are RNSing a $20k contract win and 11 reports … you know things are bad.

Couldn't agree more about the potential benefit here. If the UK government announce a material increase (£18bn being mooted) in defence spending and ALRT are able to announce a decent contract / progress on other products and offerings, this could rally very quickly indeed.

I'd hope to see a SP movement into the 4-5p territory if all things come together nicely.

The 185k around midday was mine. I've got just shy of 650k now - will keep loading up for as long as this keeps falling. It's an absolute minimum 2-3x jump in the next few months in my opinion, assuming P1 funding lands in that timeframe

How is what he has said any different to what has already been disclosed to the market? The last RNS says contracts will be announced to the market ... CEO says we will provide updates to the market which will include contracts.

Just bought in with 1,797,366 shares. I've been tracking this for a while and it feels like news is around the corner. Hopefully I have timed it well.

People can bicker about whether 160-170p targets / valuation estimates are too optimistic, but that is detracting from the point that 64p is an absolutely criminal valuation for what exists here. I think we can all agree that mid 70s is the TERP once dilution is accounted for (20% gain from here) and then you have to price in (1) the de-risking of Villeta with FID achieved, (2) the fact we have the EPC contractor on board as a significant minority shareholder (3) the blueprint is now proven, bankable, and replicable (4) management have even more skin in the game which is a very bullish sign, (5) solid income stream from management fees of the SPV reducing immediate need for further dilution etc. etc.

I could probably go on and on but this should definitely be back near 100p in the coming weeks or at worst case - months.

Longspur just issued their updated broker note which takes into account the huge placing. Even still - they have revised their estimates UPWARDS and think the WORST CASE valuation is now 162p.

Never seen a bigger bargain in all my years of investment.

I’m quite angry at myself because as you will have seen earlier I was quite convinced that an equity raise was possible but even this blew my mind. Naturally I wish I’d hedged my bets and had spare money to buy into the retail offering tonight, but hindsight is a bloody wonderful thing.

I never would have thought they would actually (1) raise so much and (2) at such a stupidly high discount.

Tomorrow could be a bloodbath as I imagine there will be a lot of forward selling and the MMs will drop this to try and shake the weak out and hoover up their shares. However, the market SHOULD eventually start to price in the fact that (1) FID is achieved (2) near-term and future revenues are coming in, and (3) this blueprint is now proven and can be quite quickly replicated. Add ATOME Power into the mix and things hot up quickly.

So in summary I think we’re going to see a few days of horror, followed by a moderate recovery back to where we have been, then hopefully into the 100p+ territory once the market forgets this placing saga and realises what the future holds for this company.
