I wonder why Martin at SEYE has already announced he's going to CES in 2020 with a retrofit product?

Did he not say previously that most OEM decisions would have been made by Christmas, so is he looking at another market perhaps and promoting a Fleet or BDMS type product?

Who knows. That article I posted before mentions 8 million autonomous cars by 2025. BDMS could provide SM with a real shot in the arm over the next couple of years when added on top of fleet.

I've been looking at youtube vids uploaded over the last few days of both waymo and argo cars. At the moment there is no sign of a bdms on the dash of these vehicles.

I'm still thinking at the moment the first contract is with waymo because they were supposedly trialing a DMS last year and also because of the link that Schmeichel posted a week or so ago, showing a DMS as part of 'Hardware at level 4' (see diagram).

Also, I think cenkos estimated bdms at 5k per unit?

This Toyota subsidiary is using, from the description in this Japan Times article, something similar to a DMS in a new bus. It can detect if there is something wrong with the driver and bring the bus to a halt.

Correction - I thought maybe one more fundraise, but at some way higher than 3p! Now I'm on the fence as to whether more funds will be needed in 18-24 months.

I do think it will come good. But, people have different circumstances and if you're worrying too much about an investment then I'd argue that you're over exposed. It's all about managing the risk.

This time last year, I couldn't have predicted we'd do another fundraise and at a such a low price as 3p!

We all have moments like that I think. Next time you get in to profit might be best to sell half. That's what I may do as I am worn out with it and for peace of mind it is perhaps best for me.

It's in need of a DMS. The back up driver, whilst seemingly not on a public road, seems to think it's okay to watch movies etc. More showboating from a major auto manufacturer unfortunately and let's hope this is changed come 2021 with the advent of the BMW INEXT.

Could be 2021 as investors look forward to 2022 and the tech being rolled out large scale in to autos. Not sure what percentage of cars that will be, but if new car models are refreshed every 4 or 5 years I'm thinking new models will account for maybe 20% of 15 million new cars sold annually in the EU?

In the meantime, we have to hope Fleet improves and bdms could surprise. We just don't know what will happen here, but if Waymo expand their fleet in a sizeable way over the next couple of years for ride hailing services across numerous cities (and perhaps countries) I'm thinking they'll go with a DMS. Lots of unknowns and this side of the business is v speculative but I'm just wondering if SM might get some nice business here.

Waymo now have the Jaguar I pace on the road with a safety driver. Lets hope someone soon catches sight of bdms on a youtube vid!
