I hope so Terry. Bombardier are boasting about having the most advanced ****pit . They have a HUD but perhaps should also complement that with eye tracking in order to stay in front!

The Global 5500 and 6500's ****pit has Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion avionics, including an "enhanced vision system" (which provides infrared images of the outside world via a head-up display) and a "synthetic vision system" (which provides computer-generated images).

Pilots can choose between synthetic or enhanced vision, though Bombardier is working with Collins to roll out a combined vision system that will mesh the images into a single display.

"We still have a couple of things in the bag that are going to be coming up," says Boudreault. "We believe today that we have the most advanced ****pit."

Is this in any way similar to what we're doing in aviation? I am not really up with this as I should be, though I started a new job fairly recently and it's perhaps better for me that I am no longer constantly looking at these boards lol

The expected licencing deal should put the notion of any future cash call to bed.

The anticipated 8 further RFQs would supposedly be issued in the 2nd half of this year. They're likely delayed as tends to happen in the auto space.

So waymo were working on semi autonomous cars, but decided against continuing on this path because employees were falling asleep at the wheel.

I guess John Krafcik has never heard of SEE, whose tech could solve this issue!

In light of the NTSB report in to that Tesla crash in Jan of 2018, and it's criticisms of the autopilot design which "permitted the driver to disengage from the driving task", I would have thought there would be some pressure on autonomous vehicle companies in the US to adopt BDMS or similar. Time will tell.

Just goes to show how much interest there will be when the tech starts becoming common place in cars, if some broker in Sydney hasn't even heard of SM.

How much of an obstruction do the Trade Unions present to the take up of Guardian? I know that Unite here in the UK seem to be aginst Guardian being installed on London buses, I just wonder if this is the same in Australia and elsewhere.
