i think we will get a rns on SOL tomorrow am. i am not holding out for much tbh, but looking at timescales we are around day 25 since previous update and i would expect further information.
i am puzzles by lack of Director buying too.. we desperately need to break this bearish cycle and have a sequence of good news.

it honestly feels like groundhog day again here where we are waiting on news that should have come.. my own expectations are low when it comes to the potential out of SOL- the findings were near to a commercial duster..
i cant remember who posted about the PIs views on the BOD, but this is perhaps another example of it., and i guess this all fuels the shorter ambitions where at least they know they can count on the BOD!
i feel like i am supporting a football team with great players, but an awful manager and broke BODs... living in hope they do it on their own regardless of what direction they are given.
if this has a more transparent media friendly/saavy bunch we'd be way ahead despite the bumps in the road,

the reason why amer is flat (and could easily finish down towards close) is that it has been well and truly vaccinated over the years from this type of rns. why buy off this... exactly.
scraps of good news and potential, but nothing of huge substance. The end of the rainbow seemingly a step closer... only to be put back twice as far in the next RNS when you read hydrocarbons detected but are commercially unrecoverable etc etc...
Malcy is also lucky to escape without a slap on the hand for allot of what he says.. clearly worried about his top ten bucket list.. but also way too bullish, - a man so wrapped up in the sector he cant see the wood from the tree. 2 years ago (without some of the good news we have had) he said he would eat his hat if this fell below 25p. looks like he eaten a bit more than that given its trading at 12p!

im way too cynical with BOD.. delays always means bad news. i hope i'm wrong but i suspect bad news to follow good news. it would be classic AMER.

Good points made, but I wonder why at these prices the institutions aren’t buying up (in fact have continued to sell despite Gc apparently not knowing) - and I think the reason for that is the BOD. Yes they bought at a premium but don’t forget how much money this company makes per day... their shares are not the big picture for them.. 75 bucks for the black stuff x bpd and they are laughing

How is that fake news - it’s a fact.. they update intermittently and in those updates set targets that can’t be met.. they then fail to update on the targets they set themselves.. and as you have pointed out are slow to give the bad news... which is what I feel it’s potentially going on here... which accounts for the sell off

I’m finding the share particularly frustrating. All this apparent potential and good news in there pipeline (excuse pun) yet the market appears irrational?! That said there have been persistent sellers and as we all know a very weak board.
Something drastic has to happen here to turn this ship around.. as they repeatedly fail to offer the market clarity and they cannot meet targets
For all the bulls on here I wonder what the time lines are to get to 20 or 30p...

don't much like the timing here. not sure the market convinced either.

its as if they know they are behind the curb, so they throw a few crumbs to avoid to much of a trouncing at the AGM.

give them hell pls. been a shower here for sometime. clear lack of SH interest - and total lack of updates and key detail to allow this to fly.
if you see Malcy knocking about tell him to put a sock in it.

bays - nice to see some balance to your posts. whilst you are clearly very informed I do feel you are overly bullish. like many I truly hope you are right (I am up to my watermark here @ and average of ~21p) but I think there has to be a reason for sustained pressure on the SP. the constant excuse here that the MMs are playing games just doesn't hold firm for me - yes this clearly happens, but it is not the reason why this stock is where it is.

we need a period of sustained RESULTS delivered on time. With this will come the desired momentum and change in sentiment.

There is definitely a case that if one constantly moans about a share why not just sell out..

But I do tend to agree with your comments LC – I was bullish about this stock, but I do think management have failed to deliver so many times.

Which I guess poses the question – why haven’t we sold out if we don’t have confidence in the board?

I need to think long and hard about that question

thank Jux - I think perhaps it was the timescales laid out at the beginning of 2018 - an ambitious drilling schedule that not only proved fruitless, but also tardy. agree with your point from spud to results.

things are clearly improving here. but I do have a slightly uneasy feeling here re announcement. this is very reminiscent of the n-sands - they delayed making that announcement - in keeping with missing so many other deadlines in 2018... . I hope they haven't provided the reserves updates to demonstrate competence prior to dropping the news on another duster.
there are a lot of good posters here, and I am a long term SH, but from my experience (limited in comparison) no news is normally bad news... needless to say I hope I'm wrong.

despite all the positive sentiment and prospects here be cautious as management have a great track record of failure.
fingers crossed this flies, but to call this company a well run company mandrill couldn't be further from the truth.
hopefully we have turned a corner though.

I was only stating that you have been a strong buy since about 30p and we are at 9.5 and heading south rather sharpish
