I've been here for a while and can only assume we are about to move upwards Cash in bank Oil up on 6 months chart Weak sterling and most importantly natural gas up 30%+ this year It has to be a double from here in the next 6 months Find / announce a partner for the Ng project and we should be away
been in this for 5+ - ex Smdr holder. at a point does one realise that this lot are just not destined for good things. I cant believe we are now clearing heading for sub 60p (could go further) - confidence is clearly low as good deals are simply never made. I am seriously contemplating just ditching this. one sh*t show after another
It doesn't seem particularly correlated to POO does it. Bizarre - v frustrating that oil has near enough doubled and this has barely moved. How long does on le give it. Sitting on large losses
Saw that - I can't see any other reason? Too much of a coincidence surely?
two huge trades on the bid side by the looks of it? Bad news in the post?
I am a long term shareholder by virtue of Salamander. Surely with oil prices hoovering at 15 year low points - companies that should be well placed are streamline cash rich / or have secured good oil project at very low costs. Ophir certainly falls into the former. You would also think (comparatively to their peers) they would be attractive for a take over. As all the big boys continue with their streamlining (cutting costs) IF oil prices rise (big IF) surely we will look back at this period as a missed opportunity to have bought well positioned oil companies. whilst undoubtedly we will be in for some more short term vol (and possibly pain) this has to be a buy? I do hate people posting 'strong buy' basically because they own the stock and they are desperate but surely over the long term this has to work
This is depressing - trend well and truly set Hold on - it looks like 80p will come around sooner than 6 months... Probably not worth tracking this over the next few weeks - one finds themselves getting angry - could be a while before this storm shifts
As a long term salamander shareholder I am seriously considering ditching this and taking a large loss. I agree that Ophir comparative to its piers is well placed due to balance sheets. My fear is we are know where near the end game here on oil and I can see oil slipping much further. All the big players a carving staff like there is no tomorrow as they are surely anticipating a further harsh drop in prices. With Shale / political games and OPEC - I am nervous that a lot of companies including possibly Ophir won't really return shareholder value. I can readily see this at 80 p over the next 6 months. I hope I'm wrong but I'm finding it hard to think objectively.
Confirmation of what we already knew sadly Oil at a 4 month high - a postive Rns and it still won't budge it
Still here - watching from afar disenchanted Could see there was little point posting much given oil prices and the subsequent valuation of these companies - gonna take a while to see some serious up tick I would think sitting tight hoping for value in next 24 months - wish I'd sold out needless to say
am i missing something here? Why is this dropping at twice the rate of Crude? Surely this is worth a punt ?>
not good at all Wobbs. that said your move to Ophir has been pretty awful too. not been good for either set of SH's.
evryone has just had enough on here. what a total sheet show this has become. FFS
no i can see that - but reckon the ping back at Ophir could be better looking at the moving avergages.
might well ditch Sally and hope on the rebound at Ophir. fed up with it
its a perfect storm in the negative sense for this deal to happen
Going to sink further that's what's happening
awful offer - great timing for Ophir to pick up a bargain.
bit like us
really leaky ship.. i suspect your money is better placed in Ophir now. not sure when to get out of this now... one things for sure is the money could work better elsewhere. i think the deal in the near term given market conditions is better than no deal. dont forget SMDR have an appalling exploration record in recent years - i backed this compnay based on what they could have found in the B field last year, which as we all know turned out to be a duster. have hung on to try and get my money back... i think now is the time to feck off.
