Happy with today and yes very cautious approach and think they've done it right. I said 2-3p yesterday under current situation and to confirm 3p is very welcome. I would hope that this figure increases in the forthcoming years once we get back to normality.

Rellim, I'm with you on the re-looking at possible deals again and lets say I would think that Serica hold all the aces as they surely can cherrypick which deal is right for the Company and walk away if it doesn't suit. Very envious position to be in where we don't have to acquire due to 3 capital projects in 2021 so either way its a win win situation. The pounds keep rolling in and just think if the O&G prices return to anything like normal then the figures announced today would have even been more impressive.

Very interesting with the appointment of new Director to the Board - I bet she's not been hired to make the numbers up so something will arise from this. Her contacts will also be valuable going forward.

Didn't expect the SP to do cartwheels today but a slow and steady rise back to £1.20-£1.40 would be welcome.

A question to all: any reason why the payment for the div is quite late (July)? Is this by design? Thoughts welcome.

Still oversupply New - the world is awash with oil when there is very little demand. I expect that this virus finally disappears (not sure when) then hopefully prices will stabilise to a more reasonable level. Until then the price of oil will remain depressed.

IMO the fall is due to the O&G industry being depressed due to the slump in oil price. Read somewhere that the expect oil demand to drop by 27m Bpd for April and Opec are cutting 9.7Bpd - oversupply then. Appreciate we are 80% Gas but we still fall with the sector.

Well done to everyone at Tesco. The BOD has increased the div, the staff are working really hard and the shoppers keep shopping!! Still a long term hold at this point for me and look forward to the div and special div. Fund managers should be jumping into a Tesco because of this.

I would expect the lockdown to be extended at least until the end of a April so still taking business off the hospitality industry. Agreed extra costs involved but just have a feeling the way that most shop will change to online. In fact lots of things may change like working from home so do we still need offices? Companies will have to start reigning back cost so making people work from home if they can could be a way of doing this.

Is the business rate holiday just a deferral until sometime in the future? If that is the case then I would still expect them to pay shareholders and also pay the business rates.

I'm an investor not a trader so happy to hold long term.

As a shareholder I would like to see the div increase (obviously) as before was only about 2.5% yield - surely that can now afford a 3.5% yield? If they're going to reward the staff then would expect them to reward Shareholders as well plus the staff also may benefit from SAYE schemes?

Might even pay a one off special div due to what's happened recently as am sure there will be surge in profits until the world gets back to normal?

Just glad invested here and profits rolling in unlike banks, airlines, retail etc. that are all clambering for bailouts and loans just to stay afloat
