How much of that raise will fund Brian Larkin’s £250,000 salary and expenses to Jamaica? I wonder…..

8 years and counting with licence. Big question was why didn’t they start the process 8 years ago if it was that good?

Nice to see Brian still gets paid through another raise at the dilution of shareholders….

He’s made so many promises over the years (check the RNS timeline) saying really the same thing. If the farmout goes ahead fair play but if it doesn’t at least we’ve kept Brian in a job for quite a few years….

This says to me that the Companies looking at buying thought it didn’t offer value which is a bit worrying. Also average bopd down in first quarter from last year.

Not deramping and I hold but always need to look at both sides of the coin.

Far too early for a dividend. Best reduce debt first or reinvest to grow.

I’m sure our lovely Government will want to increase the EPL. They can’t have Companies making money. It was mentioned in the HOC today.

For those complaining about the drop in the SP today all I would say is look to the long term. Every metric is up and fully expect this to rise sooner rather than later.

Why don’t you ask yourself why, after 6 long years, is that there is now action on Jamaica? Surely if it was a golden nugget they would have started work on it years ago? Brian Larkin has spun this out as much as he can. It’s the same with Egypt - always someone else’s fault never his. I’m invested in small caps oilers such as Afentra and Serica and retired at 52 on the back of these investments. If you compare these 2 companies compared to UOG they are miles apart. The only people I feel sorry for is the Jamaican Government who have been sold a pup.

I have to disagree with you Shirts. There are many dangers in investing in small caps such as poor and incompetent management, lack of funds, poor decision making amongst them. With these in mind that’s what makes UOG a basket case. The raises, and no doubt more to come, are keeping Brian in a job. For his salary what does he do all day?

They’re only doing Jamaica because they have nothing else. Brian keeps earning his money thanks to all the people that have contributed in the raises.

Good luck with that one, 8 years having a licence and all of a sudden a bit of urgency, why, simple because BL wants his pay cheque to continue for as long as possible….

So BL issues another raise to further dilute and make sure he still earns a salary. Nice one.

When I worked as a commercial insurance broker for 30 years, Aviva were always head and shoulders better than all other Insurers. I met Amanda, very down to earth, interested in what I did and very very sharp. Every Company she’s worked for she’s been success. Good products, well run with a strong board of directors and an increase in both the SP and div. What’s not to like?

They’ve only had the Jamaica licence for 8 years so yes patience is well and truly required. Raise in July probably to keep paying the 2 directors…..

The only person that will be happy here is Brian Larkin. The placing has guaranteed his wages are covered for another period of time and I bet he’s delighted about this. If you look through previous interviews, presentations etc. he just says the same thing over and over again. Tries to put a positive spin on this but always coming up with nothing. If the prospect was that great all oilers would be falling over themselves but they’re not and that tells you everything you need to know.

How would you ever grow a business then? Stupid comment.
