Good post Flying - we have to get out of the NS as it’s simply not profitable with the current EPL.
Let’s hope the new Directors from Mercuria are a little more ambitious than our current board.
In the meantime another 3 MILLION shares admitted…..
Just been watching Sky News and interviewer asking a labour Mayor what is Labour’s best Policy - answer is to impose the WFT. That just tells you all you need to know about ignorant politicians.
Meanwhile, even Shell boss now calling WFT unfair. Let’s get all the oilers and reduce production now and Keir will have to raid somewhere else.
Oh what a toxic board we have!
Yesterday the SP dropped on the back of the delayed sale of Maria and the derampers were quick to pounce - understandable. But what changed - nothing at all. Interesting to note the delay is 1 month and the previous delay was 3 months, so could this length of delay be down to the following:
1) negotiations are nearly complete and Quattro just needed a bit more time?
2) are our BOD getting fed up with Quattro and are asking them to get “serious”? I would understand that if this isn’t going to happen then we only lose a month and not 3.
3) if the Quattro deal doesn’t go through are there any other parties to jump in?
Not sure which of the above applies but would guess it would be 1 of the above.
Jono I wouldn’t have thought a placing would be necessary at this time. The numbers from the new drill are nearly 1500 a day net so hopefully plenty of cash rolling in. There of course could be other target’s that the bod are looking at and that might increase the chance to pay for it but you can raise funds in other ways.
I agree, this is a very important time for uog and if, that’s an if, Maria goes through then the bod would be looking at sharebuy backs. For the sale amount they could easily outlay say £1 million on a market cap of say £9m which would be of great benefit to s/hs and would expect to see a significant rise in the sp. I don’t agree if this doesn’t happen then they would have to raise money as per my first paragraph.
Jamaica is the golden egg - from what I have read there seems a lot of interest. For a relative small outlay for drilling I would think that someone would take a punt.
They’re maybe a lot of ramping on here but it’s each to their own. It’s a bulletin board and people are entitled to their own opinion which you have to respect. It’s like I do yours even if I don’t agree with your views.
There is a lot of potential here that has to be said, whether it will be realised is anyone’s guess. The positive view is that they have golden eggs which a lot of the O&G companies don’t.

The problem with the politics in play at the moment is that the Conservatives think they will lose the next election so any new government is going to inherit the problems.
The current Policies are non growth so they cannot expect extra revenues from tax, therefore, they have decided to tax the Companies that are doing well. I just wonder if the Banks will be next one they start announcing their results which should be good on higher interest rates and therefore profit margins. We live in a country where it will be impossible for you to be successful as you get hammered from governments.
18 months, the clock is ticking - either our new friends will stich us up or Labour will. Must admit don't know what comes first.....
Sasa, mega deal comes off and SP goes to plus £3 I will have my finger on the sell button
