Chinese lockdowns are only part of the picture - oil producers are also ramping up supply, including the US, and if the US bring Venezuela back into the fold supply worries will ease considerably.

Certainly agree that Ocado's SP would have fallen back more this morning. I guess also that the shorts are holding the SP back and that volatility will continue.

it will be very interesting to see what effect, if any, a fall back in the price of crude oil has on hydrogen sector shares.

I suspect that most of the increase in the SP here has been driven by the rise in Brent over the the last few weeks.

Will we see a reverse???

Brent falling back towards $95 pulls SP back to mid range for the year again - 15-28p = around 21.5P.

Unless Brent takes off again, next move has to be from Enquest - hopefully positive for investors.

Also good news this morning is that Brent has fallen back below $100 and is likely to go lower as supply problems ease - should help ease inflation and interest rate hike worries.

The heat is starting to ease but the volatility remains.

This will certainly ease inflationary fears and make interest rate increases less potent - all good news for M&S.

But war worries remain - especially with regard to some commodities such as Wheat and of course the human toll.

Full marks to Daniel Lee in his first full year at TRX - his focus on commercialisation has certainly started to deliver for investors - 20% growth is excellent!

Ocado Retail will have the opportunity to benefit from Ocado Group's new tech and save a substantial amount of CAPEX as they roll out more capacity in the UK over the next five years or so.
In fact, they can accelerate the roll out and make that two years instead of five as required.

Hopefully today's rise bodes well for tomorrow.

The fall in the SP has more to do with macro issues, low volume and SETSqx - the later is set up to look for liquidity and when the macro is against us and no one wants to buy the SP keeps falling regardless.

The only sure thing is that the SP will take off at some stage - its usually when you least expect it.

When it does take off investors will find it difficult to buy a meaningful amount of shares - this is a good indication that the rise will stick and its not just another traders spike.

So, unless you want to be left out in the cold, its best to buy now.

We have a trading update due on Thursday for Ocado Retail - the 50:50 partnership between M&S and Ocado Group.

The update is published by Ocado Group - I will post a link on Thursday morning.

All indications are that trading has been good.

The small caps always seem to lag upward trends set by others in the same sector - I guess its just because of low volume.

Now that there is a good news RNS, the volume has surged, I see no reason why EQT won't catch up with the likes of CWR and ITM on percentage gain.

Disappointing from a production point of view - the SP step downs after the September and November updates indicated that.

The financials are obviously much better than the SP suggests because of the production problems last year - I still think the SP would have grown towards 40p by now without those poor updates.

Now, AB has deliver better production numbers this year and invest to get production back towards 2020 levels over the next few years.

..and we each have the option to use the filter.

All you are getting from the Avanza RNS's is simply an indication of how Swedish Investors are trading ENQ, on a day to day basis and that's linked to the fortunes of Brent - just as expected.

It has nothing to do with the long term fortunes of Enquest that will be answered later in the year or in 2023.

Only the outlook and recent trading will be of value from the results due later in the month, 2021 has to go down as disappointing, although a lot of that was down to bad luck. Hopefully AB will add some sparkle to the outlook.

Totally agree Boyobach although the latest three way deal with Bosch and Weichai does make success much more certain now.

Personally, I am very relaxed with CWR, I have held since it was a penny share and top sliced so many times that I have lost count - anything extra I get now is just pure profit and has been for a couple of years.
I am confident enough now to just hold without top slicing any more.

There has often been speculation about an Amazon takeover of Ocado but I think that is as far as it goes - so, I don't think the two companies have ever participated in any sort of deal.

Amazon would certainly benefit for Ocado's expertise, particularly if they continue to expand into grocery, but the Ocado deal with Kroger would mean that was a non starter.

All change has to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary and the movement to renewables is no different.

Rather than expecting hydrogen power to suddenly take over from carbon fuels, we have to accept that what is achievable must be acted on first and the rest will follow if it is viable.

The first step in the UK, I think, is to use the excess power generated by renewables that isn't required by the electric grid to produce green hydrogen and then to use this hydrogen to power heavy industry via localised gas grids. I include green hydrogen generated by waste in this equation.

After that there is certainly a case for adding green hydrogen to the gas grid in small percentages but beyond that is probably fantasy.
