I think the difference now is that sentiment amongst investors, especially in the US, is improving.
It's possible to see through to the end of recession with interest rates moderating and even the Chinese economy looks brighter as they lift Covid curbs.
The war in Ukraine still lingers on but moves to mitigate its economic impact are now in place and Russian oil is still finding its way to market, so supply side problems are lifting. Even gas supplies seem more stable now.
So, I think share prices will continue to improve led by the US. Kroger's results today showed that the US economy is generally OK and if inflation continues to fall any recession there will be short lived, because interest rates can be held back.
The poor macro that held OCDO is probably already a thing of the past, indeed it was as soon as the Korean deal was announced. Onwards and upwards now!
