My point was that the shorts could build up in the future as a result of the SP going overbrought.

Correction - overbrought not oversold - big difference !!!

The real point of drama could be after a successful stage two with the SP going heavily oversold on the back of investors and especially traders.

The bondholders would probably see this as a good time to convert and with the shorts waiting in the wings the SP could come under pressure at some stage - a case of what goes too high up must come down with a big bump.

Long term investors just hold and watch but don't get sucked into buying more at top price.

I think that this is very big news. Sirius are effectively saying that they wont just be a mining company but that they will be manufacturing product on Teesside for final use.

There is no info on the size of the factory but it will certainly create local jobs and has the potential to be a large operation and to be highly profitable for SXX.

Putting Poly4 with a binder to produce a useable granular fertilizer that doesn't stick together is a vital part of the production process. The finished product could for example be put in a bag and sold at a Garden Centre.

Having a production facility that can do this means that SXX will be able to produce ready to use P4 that will be sold at a much higher margin than the raw product. ADM have the experience in this market - SXX are benefiting from their experience.

There are a couple of ports closer to the coast in Texas that can handle larger loads.

The good news is that the bulls look like they will be back in charge as the week progresses with POO rising nicely.

OPEC and Russia are now talking about balancing demand and supply - code for restricting production to keep the price on the high side but not too high for Trumpet.

US production also seems to be falling, so that should also play its part in balancing supply.

The nice steady rise that started in February, with just a few dips, is I think a growing realisation from small investors that the balance of probability is increasing by the day that this project will be a success.

As we get closer to stage two I think the momentum will increase as more and more investors realise that now is the time to invest or they will miss the boat.

I think it is the first time that Kraken crude has gone anywhere in Europe - someone please correct me if I am wrong.

We have had one load for the far east, another for Canada and the rest for the US.

Not quite yet chris - we need DC4 to get to that level.

But work does seems to have started on drilling the new DC4 wells.

I think the political case for the Government granting guarantees is now so compelling that it would be virtually impossible for the Government to refuse - the regeneration on Teesside is the absolute clincher.

As for the economic case, well that is a no brainer. Especially when you consider that offering the guarantee virtually guarantees that the mine will be built.

Yes, certainly around 500-525k - I think that these loads to the US are to customer order - they seem to be governed by the size of the tanker used and especially port access in the US.

There has been very little variation in load size from the start - the only larger load of 600k went to Canada.

It looks like she is header for a transfer in Scapa Flo with the oil tanker Stride bound for the US - so it is likely that it will be a 500-525k load as previously.

The US ports most of the loads go to are around Port Arthur, Texas, they have to navigate a ship canal for access.
I guess this limits the size of the tanker, they all seem to be around 60,000 tonnes and maybe also the draught for port access - so it could be that around 525k is the biggest load that can handle ???
