The other main shuttle candidate, Navion Oceania seems to be having mechanical problems - she has been moving in circles and now has a launch alongside - the Navion fleet seem to be a bit clapped out !!!

That is the internet route to market that they are currently reviewing and look like abandoning.

It seems that their other traditional route to market using Dreams, Next etc may be the way forward as Moon found out today when he visited a Dream store.

Euroclear shorts are showing a good reduction from 4.01% in June to 2.67% in July.

Euroclear for July is showing a drop from the June figures of 5.77% to 4.86% - good progress !!!

Total shorts on Euroclear for July are surprisingly high at 8.37% - this figure must I think be influenced by the bonds.

It doesn't seem that they have influenced the SP since January ???

The rise since February has been on the back of fairly low volumes - compare this years rise to the two previous spikes. It has also be more gradual over a longer period.

Asuming the goodnews continues I dont think we have seen anything yet - when volume increases the SP will fly !!!

Personally I don't think their is any danger of being a target all the while the project remains on track - it would however be a different story if construction started to lag and big cost overruns were the result.

A heathy SP feeding of success is the best defence !!!

Well its certainly a dangerous time for any UK PLC with the pound continuing to fall - UK companies will look increasingly cheaper from abroad - especially the US.

Are there any concerns that Gina Rinehart might step in and add Sirius to her private empire ????

it looks like she might be teasing us and just moving anchorage but I will keep an eye.

Navion Hispania is off to Alvheim - they are welcome to her !!!

That now gives us a firm favourite Navion Oceania - currently moored in the SCHEVENINGEN Anchorage, just off the Dutch coast.

A slow drift in the general direction of AK could be on the cards quite soon.

Personally I wouldn't sell SXX at the moment - its always a gamble but I think that the SP will go heavily over brought assuming a successful stage 2 and we could see a big spike - use your judgement and sell at the top of the spike.

I just had a scan for load 21 - nothing to report but plenty of contenders scattered far and wide.

Also nothing for the transfer heading to Scapa Flo as yet.

Fertiliser manufacturers would probably opt for the crushed rock if they wanted to make up compound or slow release fertilisers to their own specification. So that could still be an enormous market for Sirius but probably far less profitable.

From my reading Poly4 is the granulated product with the binder - the crushed rock will simply be sold as raw Polyhalite.

Yes, so it seems that the starch oil binder will hold the nutrient in the granule until it gets wet in the soil but will not be affected by moisture in the air. Therefore, the granular product can be transported loose without the risk of premature release or caking. The binder it seems will be sprayed onto the crushed rock as it goes along the conveyor.

It now becomes clear why Sirius needed ADM to develop the binder mix.

Sirius will hopefully sell a lot more of the value added granular product than the crushed rock - this could make a very significant difference to profits !!!

Yes, its not a question of if there are supply problems, we know they are mounting - its just a question of when and how soon the market reacts.

One important point is that Poly4 mixed with a binder would probably have to be bagged to protect it from moisture or the binder would start to break down as it would be expected to do when it was used.

Mixing Poly4 with a binder is a manufaturing process and different slow release fertilizers can be produced by using slightly different mixes of starch.

Also other minerals can be added to produce compound fertilisers but Sirius are much more likely to supply fertiliser manufactures with raw product to manufacture their own products - especially complex slow release fertilsers.
