Yes, it certainly is a simple decision for investors in Sirius, a decision based more on conviction that the mine will be built on time and on budget. But can anyone honestly say they can share that conviction for other investments, even so called blue chip investments.
Take for example the company who's shares were worth around £6.50 in 1998 but 10 years after that in 2008 they were only worth around £2 and fell to below 40p just six months later, finally reaching a historic low below 25p in 2011, today they are worth around 60p. The amazing thing is that this share is one of the most widely traded shares and it a part of many peoples pension funds.
So, who would you rather invest in - Sirius or Lloyds ????
