Yes, it looks like AIS is going to let us down this time - especially as Hispania gets closer to AK.

In the absence of further AIS updates we may have to settle for a provisional hook up time of around 10.30 BST

Crude traders may have opted against directional commitment as a slew of high-profile releases looms ahead. A US energy subcommittee will hold a hearing on draft legislation to modernize the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). The plan envisions leasing underutilized storage facilities. Traders will be keen to see if it will imply accelerated capacity reduction.

Separately, the Senate Energy committee will hold a hearing to examine the factors impacting global oil prices. The sit-down may mark progress toward passing so-called “NOPEC” legislation (an acronym for the “No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels” Act). This would allow the US government to sue OPEC member states for anti-trust violations.
As if that were not enough, the EIA 2018 International Energy Outlook will be released and while API will publish its weekly inventory flow statistics. The former will help inform global supply expectations while the latter will serve to foreshadow an analogous set of official DOE figures due Wednesday. Those are expected to show stockpiles shed 2.14 million barrels last week.

AK clearly isn't ready for hook up as yet.

The gap between Brent and WTI has increased again though - now back over $5.

It looks like Hispania is heading for a first light hook up tomorrow morning.

The transfer looks like it will be with Alfa Baltica in Scapa Flo - although another tanker the Stride is also heading to Scapa Flo in a couple of days.

They will be institutions holding the investments collectively for small investors who have made the decision to invest in SXX.

The simple reason why the institutions haven't come aboard so far is risk - that is the risk of the mine not being built and loosing all their investment. They are investing on behalf of clients so they simply cannot take this risk.

At some stage they will decide to invest - it will be interesting to see when - maybe it will be when stage 2 funding is agreed for the more adventurous growth funds ???

The main thing is that Poly 4 doesn't just increase potato yield it improves the quality as well. Scotland is a major producer of seed potatoes, they export all around the world - Poly4 could give this industry a very big boost !!!

Yes, I brought half my holding last autumn and the other half last week - assuming they get funding I think they could be 55p + by Christmas and then go heavily over brought - as has happened twice before.

The SP is virtually identical to Enquest so it will be very interesting to compare progress.

Above $68.74 is the first target on WTI then a move over $72 should see the bulls back in charge !!!

The best bet may be to do both.

SXX certainly looks to be a fantastic trading opportunity for the next six months or so but the much bigger rewards will come to long term holders !!!
