We finally are seeing the positives in the results - its about time - now lets see what the City thinks.

MW shed another 0.09% yesterday down to 0.58% so I guess they probably closed today with the rise.

If we assume that they have played some part in supressing the SP and add to that the low level of shorts generally that should bode well for tomorrow.

I DON'T think that the problem is AK this time, it is simply the weather - the forecast for Friday and Saturday deteriorated last night.

It looks like HK will remain at MacDuff until early next week and we will see a Tuesday hook up.

HK is on her way - she has just left her berth at Rotterdam.

The weather is ok for a Thursday hook up with reasonable conditions until a stormy Sunday.

The main thing is that this is the first step back to 40k.

They are moving now - heading away from Kraken to the south east bound for Invergordon - the sheltered inlet of Cromarty Firth - close to Inverness Northern Scotland.

It looks like TL is just on the point of moving.

The main thing that slows tunnelling down is water - they have to stop tunnelling and start pumping - hopefully the Redcar Mudstone should be fairly dry - but some of the more cautious estimates for progress may include time delays for water encountered - hence the minimum of 17m per day.

I guess it also depends on how accurate the geologists have been - Strabag will probably also view their report with caution - hopefully everyone has done a good job and we will get 25m per day.

Its a good job that the extra capacity is available at Erith - the real test will come when the slack is used up and at busy times of the year - maybe next Christmas. Andover needs to be rebuilt quickly.

The logic then is if someone counts the segments then it should be possible to record progress by the TBM when it starts working.

It looks like TL wasn't quite ready for the lift today - presumably they will start at first light tomorrow - the weather should be ok for most of the week.

I am not sure if they are taking the rig to Lancaster - their FSPO is now in place - or to Norway for maintenance.

Hopefully when the rig has moved we will get the next hook up - maybe Heather Knutsen currently unloading in Rotterdam.

Yes, I think so, certainly in areas of large scale agriculture - remember ADM are not a fertiliser manufacturer they are a wholesaler, so it is the fertiliser manufacturers that are loosing out if they are bypassed.

I have no idea if they use this sort of technology in China for example - I guess they are much more traditional - SM have to ensure that they can supply all markets but doing their own blends is probably unnecessary - leave that to ICL.

This is the sort of high tech machinery that they use in the US to blend fertilisers on the farm or in the locality of the farm.

Poly4 with its starch coating has been co developed by SM and ADM to allow polyhalite to be easily integrated into this high tech regime.

I think the answer to that depends on the success of the ADM tie up - my guess is that Poly4 will be a major success in the US - it ticks so many boxes.

Its unclear at the moment what ratio of Poly4 - starch coated - to raw polyhalite other customers will want. If they are fertiliser manufactures they will just want the raw product but if others follow the US lead and have the technology to handle Poly4 in the field it could dominate production.
