Sorry, but you are missing the point. The USP of Poly4 is its environmental credentials if it is marketed and sold by SM as a compound mix containing Ammonium nitrate or another manufactured product it looses its environmental credentials.

No doubt raw polyhalite will be mixed with manufactured products but Poly4 needs its own platform.

How do you get around the problem that if Ammonium nitrate is mixed with Poly4 it destroys the environmental credibility of the product?

Its up to the end user what they do with the product but Poly4 leaving SM will be organic accredited.

The point I was making is that if SM was to produce a compound mix, it would be very difficult to formulate it as organic and the environmental credentials of the product would be compromised.

Rather than developing a portfolio of products under the SM Poly4 banner it may be better to sell raw polyhalite to fertiliser manufacturers and/or go into partnership with a fertiliser manufacturer such as CF and let them do the marketing and sales for the new product - for example a polyhalite + Nitram mix..

Good point Kraken - there was no mention of the three week shutdown in the May update.

The challenge would be to extend the range and retain the environmental credibility that SM is clearly trying to build up with Poly4.

It may actually be better to use Poly4 with bulky organics - manure - rather than say mixing it with Nitram and creating a non organic compound mix.

It will be interesting to see if SM have any trials lined up with organic growers - I would love to see Guy Watson at Riverford in Devon give it a go.

With Brent being so volatile I think the best we can hope for is a comparative rise against other oil companies - we should at least be par with PMO for example.

The trouble is that no one knows what Trump will do next - not even his advisors.

To be honest if you were an oil trader would you take the risk on one of Trumps whims costing you millions.

Moody's Global Macro Outlook 2019-20 (June 2019 Update) has just been published and can be accessed from their website with free registration.

They give the following assessment for POO - " We continue to expect crude oil prices to remain on average in the $50-$70 per barrel range. But we expect oil prices to be more volatile than usual, occasionally drifting outside the range for short periods"

The paper mainly concerns the US tariffs on China and the economic dangers involved, it also points out the dangers of US tariffs on the Euro zone auto industry due in November [maybe]. On Brexit they are forecasting a UK recession followed by weak growth if we leave without a deal.

They haven't rated Enquest since November 2018 but an update could be due this month [last year it came on 14th June].

How can anyone say that SM don't keep their shareholders fully informed.

We are getting far more info from SM than any company I have invested in - most companies make you wait for months on end before they tell you anything and even then the information is scant, poorly presented or missleading.
