Yes, that seems most likely - especially as AK has her stern pointing south, so hook up will probably be from the south if the wind holds.

We still have no confirmation of a hook up because the AIS is so poor - it may be that the first indication that we get is when NO starts moving towards Scapa Flo after the hook up.

NO isn't expected at Scapa Flo until 22.00 on Wednesday - these times are often wrong - if correct it would indicate a hook up sometime tomorrow.

They just look like traders taking profits - maybe they brought in when the SP was below 3p - nothing sinister.

AIS is very poor this morning - the last fix for NO was two hours ago moving at 10.3 knots and she was just 35 nautical miles from AK - hook up should be around the middle of the day if they are ready.

The weather and sea state are still remarkably calm for this time of the year around Shetland - this has been the norm this autumn with very few gales - the jet stream has been well to the south of Shetland for most of the time leaving the islands with just 10% of their normal rainfall so far this autumn.

NO is 11.1 nautical miles from AK so we may see still a hook up today although there doesn't seem much urgency.

The AIS is all over the place so its not possible to say from what direction the hook up will come.

Its what ICL haven't got that's important - a compound polysulhate with nitrogen - the reason for that is that they couldn't supply the demand for such a product.

Will it be Yara or ICL with Made in Norway or Made in Holland.
It should be Sirius Minerals with a Made in Teesside mark alongside - if our Government step up to the mark - a whole new industry with the UK leading the world in the fertiliser market.

One remit of the Norwegian Wealth Fund is to invest in green industries - they even have even sold of some of their oil assets when the business hasn't diversified out of oil.

So SM would be a perfect fit into their portfolio especially if Yara could benefit and offer more environmentally friendly product.

It will be very interesting to see if Yara and their Norwegian masters have an interest in SM.

My read of the situation of the fertiliser market at the moment is that ICL have a very hot product with their polysulhate range and other producers want in on the action.

The obvious way to fund the mine would be to spread the financial risk between the big players maybe - Qatar, Norway and Gina.

I certainly agree with that sentiment KOH but SM need to keep all doors open - at least for the moment - there is still a chance - especially with the election that politicians will commit - we may even get a change of Government - a coalition of the rest for example.

But, the best bet may still be Gina - she could give some more cash to keep the project moving in return for equity - maybe even enough to get the mine into limited production.

A governments position is never clear so don't give up on the Government Guarantees - all the while they are talking to SM we have hope - there is a very compelling case for support in the national interest - not just for jobs and regional development but a financial case as well with massive revenue in tax over a 100 year period.

This is a massive achievement that fully deserves to be taken to the next level - a real contribution in the fight against climate change.
