After much pondering, especially regarding the patent issue, I have decided to follow Jörn Rausing and have increased my holding here by about 50%.
I feel that the SP could be on the verge of another surge, with news of new contract wins imminent and that the patent issue will resolve itself eventually in favour of Ocado or be settled out of court.

It looks like we will see some action in the Summer - page 13-14.

I was very tempted to top slice today but somehow just couldn't bring my self to do it.

I guess the price movement over the last few days has been ISA related with investors buying and also Bed and ISA transactions.

The good news is that ISA investments are likely to be very sticky - especially with the relatively low investment limit.

No fireworks there then.

I guess we also need to know what sales commission Ocado will receive at Ocado Solution clients CFC's.

Ocado Retail now has the opportunity to sign up new customers - something that they were unable to do throughout most of 2020 - also new capacity is available with more to come - so far from seeing a drop in sales, 2021-22 will be a period of strong growth in sales as more consumers have the opportunity to become customers.

It just needs Brent to rise strongly - this will draw in investors - the percentage gain will then be dramatic, especially with hedge funds joining the party - in other words its all or nothing now that Oil Shares have more or less lost the backing of long term institution investors.

Yes, even without new clients the revenue generated over the coming years from existing clients will justify Ocado's current market cap and that will increase as the existing clients add more capacity.

Yes, i would think that its in both sides interests to settle now, remembering that Autostore have been put in the same position as Ocado with reciprocal court action.

I think that Tesla has very effectively skewed the playing field in favour of EV's at the expense of other technologies.

The question is, are EV's actually a sustainable alternative to the combustion engine?

Personally, I rather doubt they are - maybe the Japanese and Chinese have come to the same conclusion and are playing the longer game with hydrogen.

The point now is that Ocado Retail doesn't actually need direct input from Ocado Group to run its retail operations - M&S are quite capable of performing that role.

What Ocado Retail does need is the technical expertise that Ocado Technology provides on a day to day basis. This, I think, is conclusive proof of Ocado Groups role as a tech company.

Global CFC's will also require this input, but as with Ocado Retail, Ocado won't be telling them how to run their retail operations.

One of the unknowns is the actual percentage received on sales transactions at client CFC's. This is understandably confidential and may vary with different clients. Hopefully this years figures will give us some insight, and reveal more about profitability as more CFC's open.
