With the high vaccination rates in the UK and US it would be a logical move to establish a air bridge between the UK and US, not only would this help aviation but it would give a massive boost to tourism because both countries residents have limited choice where they can safely travel this summer. Airlines both sides of the Atlantic would have plenty of capacity to add extra flights to meet demand.

Half year results are due in July - we should see another revenue increase from Ocado Solutions with new CFC's opening, especially Kroger.
Also we could get news of new contract wins anytime.
So, OCDO is still a hold.
Sometimes you do have to take the pain but it generally works out in the end.

Looking back in hindsight it seems that the two surges in the SP, in September 2020 and this February were probably when OCDO was overbought.

This means, I think that although the current SP is on the low side - between 2200p and 2400p would be preferably to maintain ambitions of long term growth - Ocado is still on track, given the long time scale of their ambitions.

The outlook for holidays abroad, especially in Europe, still looks very uncertain, the focus is on staycations - this has to be good news for Premier Inn bookings.

One bright spot is transatlantic air travel to the US. This is likely to be a two way affair, with plenty of Americans coming to the UK - they also have a very limited choice of destinations. These US tourists could be very good news for Premier Inn in London.

The publication of results is often bad news for growth companies, it certainly was for Ocado this February and it precipitated a slide in the SP. This and a lack on news about new deals because of the pandemic have resulted in the fall.

The basic problem is that results look back on the previous year but investors are looking forward to the companies future prospects, therefore, their publication invariable leads to disappointment. Add to that all the hype about online during the pandemic and its not surprising

No doubt as soon as we get some good news, fortunes will change dramatically.

On a more serious note, if you read this BBC News story in full, you will find that Boohoo are playing with fire here and risk totally destroying their reputation.

There is now way that they should be selling the same product under different labels - it totally destroys the brands integrity, especially for the more up market brands, and to sell the same product at different prices is little short of fraudulent.

Add to that, that they have just been changing the branding with a marker pen - well, you couldn't make it up - shameful.

Yes, the reliance on Government action regarding infrastructure is the key regarding cars - lets hope that Japan, China and South Korea give that commitment.

The best bet though, has to be Chinese buses to get the ball rolling - that could become a mass market reality this decade.

Regarding cars, if the Japanese do get mass market hydrogen fuelled cars on their roads and they prove to be cheaper to run and buy that electric cars, that could be very interesting and deadly news for Tesla and European Car Makers. The UK Government would do well to keep Nissan happy.

Yes, its not relevant at the moment but it will be soon and maybe a lot quicker than most people think.

With their expertise gained in the North Sea, all North Sea Oil companies should be looking for ways to develop their business to take advantage of the renewables sector.

The point is that the transition has already started, its not to late to join in. I am not saying spend big on capital but look for ways of utilising existing skills - carbon capture being an obvious example.

Also, any renewables project with potential, no mater how small to start with, would do wonders for the SP and attract institutional and retail investors back to the company.

Don't forget folks - Ocado will get revenue from every tin of baked beans, every packet of Pasta, every bottle of Scotch, every tin of Pilchards, every .......... sold at their Ocado Solution Partners around the world.

I have been accused of rambling on about renewables and the relevance to Enquest but consider this -

"Since 2009 the UK agreed and created its own National Renewable Energy plan to increase renewable sources and decrease fossil fuels dependence. In 1970, 96.5 percent of UK’s energy consumption was attributable to fossil fuels. In 2019, this value had reached a low of 78.3 percent."

We saw what happened to Brent during the pandemic - demand for oil falls and supply is able to easily able to cover demand - Brent falls. With the rise in alternative fuel sources this supply situation could become the norm as more market share is captured by renewables.

Obviously oil producers will compensate and reduce production, but this will probably be at the expense of higher cost producers first.

Yes, raw materials are the problem, I think that China can see that but the Western world seems oblivious.

From Ceres point of view, they seem well placed to fully capitalise on the mass production of green hydrogen when it starts.

The main thing is that Ceres have retained a very tight control over capital expenditure and have just concentrated on developing the tech for others to mass produce under licence.

No one knows where the demand is actually going to come from yet, I think we can say for sure that it won't be for use in cars, but beyond that, we have to wait and see - these issues make an investment in ITM far to risky for me.
