Charts for small caps on AIM certainly show up long term trends, eventually - fact.
But, short term the SP is at the mercy of traders on some shares, especially heavily traded one's like EQT, so deciphering their accuracy is questionable.
Think of it as the charts are hijacked by events - the next RNS has the power to create volatility higher or lower.
The best time to buy these small caps is when they are at a low ebb when others are selling - eventually they will come good, but only when the case to buy becomes compelling, the charts won't tell you that - just wait for the numbers.
