At one point earlier this year the guidance for an update was Mid Year. Subsequently change to Q3. On this very thin evidence I’m going to speculate that the RNS lands Thursday 21st August.

Why because September is in no way ‘mid year’ and pushing the boundary to Q3 allowed for the SCOPE trial update to be fully digested before the Modi1 in RCC gets published.

For me it will be a great success if they have found similar synergy with the double checkpoint and ModiTope as they have with Immunonody.

I would say that most of the long time holders of Scancell think that the journey to ‘significant shareholder returns’ has taken rather longer than anticipated.

The problem is not with Scancell or with us shareholders, it’s the very real difficulties of developing a completely new technology without it failing in some way.

The Scancell products / technologies / cancer vaccines are extremely novel and have to earn their place as the next generation ‘go to’ treatments.

In 1997 Checkpoint Inhibitors were fringe, in fact most clinicians either had never heard of them or thought it was fanciful that blocking a tumours chemical signalling would help in the future fight against cancer.

Now the entire oncology community believe 100% in their value.

Immunobody and Moditope have the possibility to enhance that technology and in the future the potential to replace many aspects of early cancer protection.

We need more patience to see if what I’ve alluded to actually comes about. Either more patience or find another investment that will return some positive value, only problem is …….. they are all a bit risky.

My advice is hold tight while there are so many things up in the air. You may be surprised if you hold on or very disappointed to you bail and a deal does indeed happen.

Scancell have clearly stated that they want to take SC134 into a Ph1 clinical trial themselves. To achieve that aim they must have a 5 year plan and GlyMab Therapeutics must be a key component of that plan.

SC134 plus SC27 and any other GlyMabs currently under early development could become, as you say, a very valuable assets.

Based on the milestone values being back loaded I totally agree that it will be at least 3/5 years before any large payments.

The setting up of GlyMab Therapeutics Ltd leads me to believe that GenMab may well take a stake in that company to allow Scancell to develop SC134.

We may never see those late stage payments because GenMab might decide to buy the whole platform in the next couple of years.

As far as I can recall the £1m holding fee became part of the £5m when GenMab made the decision to contract a second GlyMab so they paid another £4m.

The next milestone is when GenMab actually start a Ph1 clinical trial. That payment would ( I think ) be another £3m.

We have not been told how the sequence of milestones is organised or what value.

What we do know is that the important large milestones payments are at the backend of the Mab development.

ie : Approval to start a Ph3 and Drug Approval.

Such a shame that some people listened to that numpty and his twisting of facts.

I am much more interested in the fact that Martin Diggle is so intent on building his stake in Scancell even when he holds so many shares already.

The fact is that he has plenty of other companies in his Vulpes portfolios that they have done due diligence on.

So why is this extra cash going into Scancell …… another. ‘Strokey Beard Moment’. …………….. 🤔

Two positives in Diggles compunction to buy more shares :-

1 ) buying in the open market means that he feels the price will rise prior to any chance of a placing. Or, Maybe there will never be another placing ….. ‘strokey chin moment’

2 ) unless he just can’t help himself, as he already has £ millions tied up in Scancell but he has decided that’s not quite enough. Could it be the noises he’s hearing surrounding where Scancell is heading. 🤔

Warren Buffett advises that you ‘follow the money’ - ‘buy when the market doesn’t see an opportunity’ and ‘the stock market is a mechanism that transfers wealth from the impatient to the patient’.

His words but I see Martin is a keen disciple of the revered one ………

The mRNA vaccines don’t last very long and are fairly specific. So a great product during the pandemic because it was targetted at that time and that was a much needed vaccine.

Now COVID has mutated to multiple types the mRNA route is probably not the best.

If a vaccine could be developed to cover both Spike and Nuclear parts of Covid or any virus of that type and it had a memory effect, now that would be cost effective.

Not saying it has to be Scancell’s Covidity but it could be a template for the future.

89 % would be way to high to hope for but it would mean that Inanaco’s £8 a share had a chance 😂😂

I’m not pessimistic about the eventual success of Scancell just the timing of when the stars will align.

There are three catalyst in the next phase of the company any one of them could be the reason for the share price to take off.

The Modi1 data shows a vast improvement over standard of care. In late stage solid tumours it is extremely difficult to target all of the mutated cancer cells. Checkpoints when they work are a fantastic weapon but they are a very blunt instrument. If Modi1 proves to have the same synergy with double checkpoints as SCIB1 has shown the improvement over SOC could lead to many discussions with potential partners or buyers.

GenMab / GlyMab Therapeutics Ltd, what is going to happen and when ? This could be a major factor in re-rating the SP.

Is this why we saw contented faces in the recent presentation when asked about future funding ?

December 25 / January 26, the SCOPE trial full four cohort readout. At this point there is a high probability that they will know how the Registration Trial is to be funded.

My wish would be that it’s with a partner. If the data is robust and given another 5 / 6 months the Progressive Free Survival ( PFS ) continues as Marcus hopes to be in the 75 / 89 % range there is every chance of a partnership happening.

All in my opinion and I think I’m of sound mind 🤔

Perhaps it’s because I’ve been invested for over ten years and over that time I’ve come to the conclusion that to move the SP higher it’s going to take dramatic news.

I’m fully invested, I’m content with the direction and I’m excited for the future.

What I’m trying very hard to do is keep my expectations positive but anchored in the reality of a pioneering Biotech trading in the UK on the AIM market. Which is today’s equivalent of the Wild West.

We are getting there but we need to produce the data that large pharma can get excited about. Excited enough to bring out the cheque book 🥳🥳

Very good points and I agree that early in the trial you want the ORR to be inline or better than the protocol.

As time passes the PFS becomes a much better way of measuring the success of the treatment.

My opinion is that the ‘market’, especially being on AIM, was looking for something that looked like a huge commercial success today or alternatively the confidence that a partnering deal would have cemented.

Modi1 in the expected update needs to be better than just OK, at this present time to move the SP dial.

However I am very content with the progress but I am also being as realistic as possible about the time scale.

Where else can you find a Biotech with such a strong pipeline……

Immunobody going into a Phase 3 trial

Moditope actually in patients and producing results.

GlyMabs about to become a stand alone arm of the company.

And SC134 primed and ready to enter the clinic as soon as funds allow.

And all for 10p a share ……. Only on AIM 🙄

Extraordinary is a little strong and if it had been a clinical update that you could class as extraordinary it would have brought a Pharma partner to the table.

The original target for the SCOPE trial was aiming for a minimum of 70% ORR.

So the outcomes are good and I expect with a more rigorous selection process in the Reg Trial we will see the ORR data back around 75% to 80%.

However, that is now two and a half years away minimum.

Moditope has always been the main act as far as I'm concerned.

The cohort in Renal Cell with double checkpoints is another important point in Scancells journey.

Again it will only be data on a few patients but clear evidence that Modi1 is achieving better results than current standard of care when bolted on to these checkpoints will be fantastic news.

There is no reason to expect it to fail but we need that early data to be positive if we want market sentiment to return to very positive for Scancell.

The SCOPE trial data was seen as OK but the anticipation was for better outcomes. Whether that was realistic when dealing with stage 3/4 unrescetable cancers is very debatable. All the clinical and medical comments were very positive for a 20% gain in outcomes but the Aim market was primed and ready to decry anything below the very early 85% ORR.

We all hope that the ModiTope update does have some impressive data.

Fingers, Toes and Eyes crossed for a really good set of results.

Originally the Update was 'Mid Year' the same as the SCOPE update.

That was later expressed in a presentation slide as Q3 ( July to September ).

The speculation is that it will arrive in August.

This £500k buy is not someone taking a punt, so either someone that totally got the importance of the iSCIB+ results or someone who is convinced by the combined fire power of Immunobody, Moditope and GlyMab Therapeutics Ltd is about to propel the share price upwards.

That’s not what they were saying and you know it….. it’s another chance to for you to spout misinformation…..

Let’s try again, I understood that they were explaining what will happen to the figures in the future when they run the Reg Trial with a more selective enrolment policy.

All the patients that got full benefits from SCIB1 and iSCIB+ belong to the group with the HLA type they have identified as a bio-marker.

The ones that didn’t benefit either didn’t have that marker or other issues ( like brain metastasis) that caused them to progress.

He’s talking about the SCIB1 plus iSCIB+ combined group of patients where the are showing what can be achieved in the Reg Trial if they exclude those patients that fall outside the chosen HLA types.

I understood what they are putting forward I don’t think he does ……. Or just maybe he does but it doesn’t suit his narrative/ agenda.
