The US have prepared tariffs of 500% on any country buying Russian oil, whether DT can or wants to enforce this is doubtful as it could potentially also hurt America but it would definitely hurt Russia.

Russian Banking is also being targeted, which will certainly hurt them too but the US & Europeans must surely be able to see that only the harshest sanctions possible and the full military backing of Ukraine will bring Russia to peace talks.

Once the Russians stop advancing, only then will they be interested in peace talks so Ukraine must be armed sufficiently to stop the Russians advancing otherwise Ukraine must accept pretty much unconditional surrender.

Things have changed, the fact both sides are talking about ending the conflict is a big step forward from where they've been the last 3 years and the fact the US is now Russia friendly and desperately wants an end to the war is also much different and far more positive to the last US government.

Surely they aren't going to go through the same boring questions again , there was actually very little to say in the last webinar as there is nothing happening and very little CS could say so its doesn't make any sense to do another one so soon after the last one unless there is something new to discuss ?

Icurus69...The Russian Economy isn't doing anything like as well as you think....You Omitted the huge 21% Intetest rate, actual borrowing rates are even higher.

Many small Russian firms are going bankrupt because of these extremely high lending rates so the economy cannot be doing well with crippling interest rates and high inflation.

Would anyone say the UK economy is doing well if we had base rates of 21% , No is the answer, 21% base rates would cripple any economy.

The US & Europeans should not only announce the most severe sanctions possible on Russia now but also a massive military aid package to Ukraine.

This would put a dampener on Putins plans and be far more likely to bring him to talks than becoming his friend as Trump has done because he thought that was the best way to get a peace deal.

I thought Putin was cleverer than this as I had him down as an intelligent man but I think calling for talks at the 11th hour at

So it's a nothing meeting & another delaying tactic from Putin.

The US & Europeana should hit Russia hard now with sanctions on anyone buying Russian Oil & anything else what can hurt them.

Putin has no interest whatsoever in peace, that's crystal clear, he wants unconditional surrender of Ukraine.

Hopefully Trump finally accepts Putins played him like a fiddle and hits Russia hard on the sanctions.

The only valuation of importance in the near term is what the price will be on a ceasefire ....I'm conservatively expecting 9p minimum although one can never under estimate how high some shares can be pushed with the right sentiment.

These so called talks amount to little more than unconditional surrender from Ukraine.

Russia might as well just present the terms of surrender to Ukraine and see if they are willing sign. To pretend there is going to be some talks & negotiations is ridiculous, Russia's terms are clearly pretty much that of unconditional surrender by Ukraine.

Zelensky has likely little choice but to accept now that the US has aligned itself with Russia, if Ukraine continues, it loses more of its country, its that simple, that's why Zelensky is jumping through hoops to get a ceasefire.

So why some posters are predicting a rise tomorrow, I don't know coz Russia has not agreed any Ceasefire so there can be no peace talks until they do !
