RE: Next Week.3 Aug 2025 11:14
I agree G, indirect, behind the scenes pressure from China & India would certainly bring Putin to the table as without them Russia is destined for poverty.
I also think Russia wants & needs peace more than it outwardly shows, the cost is crippling them and the economy is near breaking point with the high inflation & high interests rates.
But of course, Putin will outwardly play hardball & show no weakness & little desire for peace but that's mostly a front just to procure the best deal possible when the real negotiations get underway.
Putin stated on Friday..." We need a lasting and stable peace on solid foundations that would satisfy both Russia & Ukraine and would ensure the safety of both countries "......this seems a softening by Putin as he doesn't normally mention about Ukraine's interests or safety-only that Russia will achieve its goals etc....So reading between the lines, there is, arguably, for the first time, some comprise in Putin's words, which suggests he is actually ready for negotiations, which he said he wants to continue.
So bit by bit, it is happening, yes, there's some hard negotiations ahead but I genuinely believe both parties now want peace, sure, Russia are stonefaced & will always play hardball on any deal as they are winning so that's to be expected but I do believe we are at the beginning of the end of the SMO and next week, whilst I don't expect it to be decisive,it will be interesting and some progress could be made towards a Ceasefire.
In the meantime... we still have the AIX listing to come once the currency issue is resolved so I'm relatively pleased overall with my investment here & looking forward to the coming months and what they will bring for Euaπ°
