Thanks for your posts. It has been a generally bad day on the markets and this has been reflected with PETS as well. Could have been worse without the report in the DM yesterday, although I wasn't able to reaage"d it. One reason for the retrace in the share price recently is down to the budget. The rise in the minimum wage to £7.20 an hr from the present £6.50 will affect PETS to a degree due to a large number of their staff no doubt being on the low wage. Lets not make any mistake that this is a "living wage", it is purely a canny way of rebranding the minimum wage!. I am in retail too, and despite my added responsibilities I am on sub £8 an hr. However, it is not my intention nor desire to get political here. Where I live it is a low pay environment regardless of experience or qualifications or age. It is largely a retail, tourism or farming environment. Not expecting nor looking for sympathy. Next opportunity I will try to visit a couple of PETS stores. Last one I visited I seem to recall was well stocked and clean but don't remember it being busy. Regards CM

James Latham plc ("James Latham" or the "Company") Holdings in Company James Latham announces that International Plywood (Importers) Ltd ("International Plywood") has disposed of its entire holding of 900,000 ordinary shares in the Company at £6.60 per share through a placing with new and existing investors arranged by Northland Capital Partners Limited, the Company's Nominated Adviser and Broker. Commenting on the change in the share register, Peter Latham, Chairman of James Latham, said: "International Plywood has been a supportive shareholder over many years and in their place we are pleased to welcome a number of new institutional investors onto the share register." Remains to be seen what affect this will have on the share price. £6.60 is quite a discount to the present share price. Selling that number of shares in what is often an illiquid company share price can often mean having to take a lower price, despite others willing to take up the shares. May well see another holding RNS within the week indicating who has taken up the shares and what %. Bigger question as far as I am concerned is WHY International Plywood WANT to sell out?. Final dividend last year was paid on 6 November for those on the register on 17 October (ex. divi.). Don't know dates for this year yet; probably won't know until around September. Regards CM

Talking to your self BT?. No, I'm still around and checking in to see how an old favourite of mine is getting on. GBG share price has risen by over 50% since those dark days last October when I bowed to pressure and sold out. One thing I forgot about was the dividend and just how good it was for anyone who had invested in the days of when the share price was around the 60p mark. Dividends make a huge difference to our overall performance re shares. By now any dividend I would receive would be into 3 figures. Not sure how far GBG can run, but as Robbie Burns the Naked Trader still has confidence in this one and is no doubt still expecting someone to come in and take GBG out. Regardless, GBG remains strong. Well, have we weathered the Grexit storm?. For the time being quite possibly, although I am far from sure it has gone away totally. I still expect there to be another thrilling installment of the saga somewhere along the way. I sympathise with the Greek public but not with their government who seem to have very nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory only to go back after a good thrashing to make out that they are the heroes who stood up to the wicked IMF, ECB and EU or whoever. No predictions for year end sp?, oh come on BT!. What about 250p?, or after last year is that tempting fate too much?, lol. Hope all is well with you and Mrs BT down in Newmarket. Just realised I didn't get back to you re. promised (?) bike ride to Hampshire. Route via Newmarket?, well it could be arranged, certainly seems attractive if you are going to supply the odd glass or 2 of Jura.............not forgetting the wet sponges!. I had hoped to be away this next week cycling somewhere but if I do go then it will be far closer to home. There are difficulties down South with my elderly mother who is awaiting a hip operation begining of August. Means I need to give priority to other matters of course, so expect a good few miles on 4 wheels rather than the 2. Time is cracking on BT. Will catch up soon I hope. Somewhat of a bad day at the office today for ETO. I can see no obvious reason apart from belated fallout over Greece. I did feel on Friday when I invested here that it may have been a little premature and so it may have proved. However............looking back to those bad days in October last year and when my holdings took a hit, things did turn around and so they may well do here this time. On that occasion I sold out completely of the market, only to find that all my previous holdings recovered most of their losses and indeed my 2 favourites have since gone on to hit new highs. It is not easy sitting back and watching share prices fall and not want to bail out. Maybe I will be able to sit still this time. There has been an interim management statement around the 20th - 25th July for the last 4 years, so on that basis, I would expect another one this year around the same date, in other words within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Copied below is the outlook from the trading update given on the 27 January: OUTLOOK The outlook for the remainder of the year is positive for the Group. Management looks forward to the end of the year with confidence, with full year earnings anticipated to be ahead of expectations. Management anticipates a more sustained improvement in the global box office and also expects television markets to continue to evolve with demand for high quality, exclusive content growing from both traditional broadcast networks and digital platforms. With expertise in both content creation and distribution, eOne is well-positioned to benefit from this long term trend. In addition, Peppa Pig goes from strength to strength both in established markets and newer territories, and our presence in territories globally is providing a strong platform for our wider Family portfolio. Hopefully the above gives some confidence and will support the share price. Perhaps I should try and release some funds from elsewhere to consider topping up!. Regards CM

Taken from yesterdays Naked Trader blog, Thursday 2 July: "I've also topped up yet again on three of my favourites. Topping up on the good ones long-term has made me most of my money. So bought more Entertainment One (ETO) - a fantastic share which I think has another 100-200p upside this year. In particular its library of shows continues to boom in value. And also topped up in another of my favourites Pets at Home (PETS). Lovely profits here of more than £20,000 but more to come here. The breakup through 300p looks significant and I now think 350p is achievable. And final top up is in challenger bank Aldermore (ALD) - already in handsome profit here but more to come and I think this one could easily head up to the 400p mark." PETS has a very good Stockopedia ranking too, which is another positive. Despite the Greek crisis/tragedy and not intending to invest more before the Greek referendum, I did buy in latish afternoon. I like the tight spread and the relative share strength, preferring to invest into a strongly performing share than the higher risk, speculative shares that I use to. Lets hope that any fall out from Greece will not be much nor long lasting. Seems a quiet(ish) board, which is more often than not a good sign!. Regards and good luck CM

I hadn't intended to invest in anything before knowing the outcome of the Greek referendum, yet today after some research last night and again first thing this morning I bought into ETO mid morning. Reports seem positive and promising. I have been following Robbie Burns, The Naked Trader, for some time and it was his blog yesterday which made me look (again?) at this share. Robbie makes some very good calls and few poor ones, so his comments deserve to be taken seriously. The spread is extremely tight which is a good sign. The share price is showing 372.1 both here and on digitallook.com, yet in my broker account is showing 366.9. Can anyone give me confirmation as to what the true closing price is?, I rather think the former. Thanks. Recognise one or two posters on here, Rivaldo and davidelliott, oh, and Chan too. Todays RNS may have gone down better at another time. With the markets as they are right now then there is a large degree of nervousness about. You may be right re projected share price. However, I think there may well be a retrace beforehand, to somewhere nearer the low 130s or even the high 120s first. Although I am not a chartist, I do look at the share price movement and sometimes use Bollinger Bands to see where the share price is in relation to them. The share price generally trades between the upper and lower bands. If it breaks above the upper band it tends to trade back down to below it and if it breaks below the lower band it tends to trade back above it. Sometimes a useful guide as to when to buy or sell. Absolutely nothing guaranteed of course. IMO the share price is getting a little pricey right now although there is strength in it. Good luck and regards CM

Thanks for your comments SS. I haven't used Valarie, indeed I don't know where the nearest branch is to me here in South Cumbria. It is important that we have folks views both positive and not positive to have a balanced discussion. Good quality and experience is important. We can get away with poor quality occasionally (although not excusable) but if it becomes the norm it will eventually catch up with us, regardless of what industry we are in. Have you experienced poor quality at any other branch or is this confined to your local branch?. Either way it seems the quality control needs to be looked at. Regards CM

Gazza, I concur with you regarding should have sold earlier, that of course is hind sight. I should have decided to review my holding when the share price fell to 200p. Like most folk though, we tend to feel any retrace in the share price will only be short term and will bounce back. And it may well do. Most investors tend to look at a falling share price as it not going to continue to fall, hold and if anything may look to "average down". Not a good idea generally. Also investors look on a continuously rising share price as not being able to keep rising and therefore hold back from investing. However we both know that both can happen, continuous falls and rises. These days I am far more likely to invest into strength "averaging up" and resist investing into weakness "averaging down" unless there are exceptional circumstances. A buy at these prices?. Possibly. I am content to have reduced my holdings and have some funding ready to invest at a better time here or elsewhere. Too often though I have sold too early and it may be the case here. Hi gazza. Not sure why share price has fallen, don't think it has anything to do with Quindell though. Sentiment seems to be against CNKS at present perhaps more to do with the general state of the market with the concern over Greece. Should there be no resolution at the 11th hour and the market tanks, then there will be little appetite for market floats and therefore imo reducing the potential for increased revenue for CNKS. Speculation on my behalf though. I have reduced my holding in CNKS today by half and have set a stop loss for the other half, along with all my other holdings awaiting any outcome one way or the other over Greece. Not sure if we are going to see victory snatched out of the jaws of defeat, or defeat snatched out of the jaws of victory. Beggers belief, it really does. May throw up some buying opportunities.
