Hello BT,
thanks for the contact and your kind words. They are greatly appreciated. So much truth and wisdom. I am sorry to hear of your loss,. At such times it makes us realise what is important and what truly is not.
Good to hear from you. You beat me to the posting about GBG. £2 in sight BT, £2!!!, who would have thought that at the beginning of the year?. Well done you for staying in, excellent. Makes up for the car crash as you have put it with COMS and MONI. Not sure what will happen with those two. Hope you didn't cop it too much. Stay clear of BOOM, it is another one of those which may take off and reach dizzy heights but in reality is more like to fizzle out; there is far better value out there with the "boring shares".
Other shares mentioned - RPC. I invested there some time ago and took some decent profit before it took a retrace. Since then it has more than recovered. The lower oil price should help them greatly with their manufacturing costs; not sure about the weak Euro how that may play, possibly positive, possibly negative.
HAYT - hold fire there would be my advice and wait for the trend to turn and invest into strength; it is struggling at present. Needs a good healthy RNS and sentiment to change. May head back towards 80p then drift yet again.
REDD - very nearly topped up today, held off but watching very closely.
Can't comment on the other shares, no knowledge.
Did you invest in KIBO?. I have sold out of RNWH and RM., the former for a very small profit taking dividend into consideration, the latter at a loss around 10%. I had lost confidence in RM despite contrasting opinions because it is involved in the education market and I fear cutbacks or the fear of cutbacks close to and/or after the next election. Too much of their revenue is dependant on present contracts. I hate losing money as we all do, but believe we have to take our losses before they get out of hand.
Warren Buffet it was I believe who said there are only 2 rules to successful investing:
Rule 1: don't lose money and
Rule 2: don't forget Rule 1!.
BT, if you want to have contact off the boards at any time I am happy to come to some arrangement where we can swap email addresses, or Skype. Happy to discuss whatever, from investment intentions, to personal life, to where is the best place to buy a good Jura etc. Just a thought my friend.
Catch you sometime. Take care and kind regards
