Balerno, evening. I am really not trying to make anything political during these times or pass comments on what other countries have done a day earlier. There are so many issues Government have had to consider, and even just saying that it is impossible to even imagine the hard work being put in by so many.

I am just grateful that we are getting round to what must be a logistical nightmare. I have no data as to how may people in the Commonwealth that are affected, working abroad or just se[perated from their families. Nor do I have data from the foolhardy ones who decided to travel on holiday post 2019 anh have found themselves stranded.

Just grateful for everything they are doing, they are making enormous progress with the Nightingale Hospital at the Excel Centre, which they hope to open for the first 500 patients by the weekend. That will be a hospital built in just 12 days and I am sure some bright sparks will say it took the Chinese Government just 7.

What I do know i that these overflow portable huts they have been building in Italy have served a great purpose for the max 25 patients housed and took on average 14 days to open. The excel Centre wil eventually house 4,000.

So I appreciate where you are coming from, but comparing numbers and the size of the airlifts from country to country with no data in hand is relatively pointless. and given the time all nations have really had to respond to CVID 19 I still have total respect for what they are doing, whether that be a week earlier or a week later.

Bankfool, you have made many good posts in recent months, I believe that will happen too, I just cant see how the company will survive and whether any of the compouns show promise or nor, there is no signs of anybody picking the company up for a song.

I fully understand the positivity some of you still hold, but I think we have all learnt just how many promising drugs have been left on the shelf due to lack of financing as there is still much to do and spend to get the data the big boys need to buy a company for whatever price.

Ihope something positive will still come from this but see very little reason to rely on it. Regardless my best wishes to all of you during these difficutntimes.

On the same day you made the same apology to me, which I sent back to you. For some reason last year you posted regularly on SCLP particulary taking pops at me. In the absence of that the last few months I trust the same applies to us now, it wasn"t adhered to at all, I trust with all that is going on around us any bad feelings are finally put to bed, and my best wishes to you and a few others here. There is no room for bad feelings at these unprecedented times,hoping we all regret what used to go on, with assurances they will never happenagain. I read last week that Scooby Doo had caught this virus, Scooby f you are out there I wish you a very quick recovery and if anything else is in touch with him please let me know how he is doing.

Through all those years going back to the Yoda and Multibagger days when so many of us got caught up in some really bad personals, Scooby went out of his way to apologise for his part n the rows with me. That was 2/3 years ago, and we have had peace ever since then. Something i so appreciated and still do, and we kept it to the word.

Hi Hanoi, no I haven"t, not yet, and perhaps a good thing from my perspective Never did hear the criteria to make that list.

I am pretty sure those that are on it have bigger immediate needs and I am more than OK wth that.

I fall into the over thinking dept, there is one heck of a lot to think about,sleep not coming easy at all, and not surprised the car park felt like a Prisoner of War camp, it is our generations war. Best of luck buddy, keep safe.

Had the pleasure today to meet a volunteer. Awesome Polish lady, in between jobs and lives just 100m from me. She spent three hours with me, she did a shop for me and after speaking with her for some time on Thursday, insisted on doing my washing, we have a laundrette on the ground floor, changed my beddingwhich is hard for me, and after telling her I would gladly pay for her help, housework is not a service they offer, she refused to take a penny from me. It will only be until she starts her new job (NHS funny enough) but will do my shopping on a Sunday morning and a quick tidy up until then.

There are awesome people around, will never forget her kindness and love, if she cant come again it was just a pleasure to meet her at all.

Hard to imagine what you all are going through and seeing. Bless yer violindog x

Hi leas, good afternoon, ............I am just lucky full stop, funny enough, but it took a few years ,you get used to a different way of living and there are enough things I enjoy that keep me busy but it certainly wasn"t that way for a long time. , and again I was lucky that I had done so much when I was well, so for me I tend not to want what I cant do, enjoy what I do, and happy to get what I need. I feel really sorry for you guys though, this ""lockdown"" will be very hard, for anyone in business it must be a nightmare and nothing much you can do about it.......................and worse of all ""The Pubs Are Shut""!!!!, lol, no more taking the dog for a walk!!

Tell me your three month prescriptions are those for Class A drugs?? I guess my problem was it was only last yer I was still getting treatment, being put on different drugs and taken off a few too, so I was in permanant review, perhaps that is why I only get one month at a time.

You take care buddy, these are indeed unprecedented times and each day it seems there is a new reality to take on board. When I wake up whenever that might be the first thing I think of was was that a bad dream, unfortunately it is not, so keep in touch and keep on punching!!!

I is a long story, complicated and very personal and not for here.

What is relevant to us all is short of locking yourself in a room for six months alone, we are all exposed to some risk.For me that is minimalising the risk as much as is humanly possible and respecting distancing just have one person allowed in my home, what I can"t do under any circumstances is risk going out anywhere other than an empty garden. It amazes me that married friends with kids still go out more than once a week shopping.

As you raised a point what I should clarify is that if you need to call on the help of a volunteer, in that capacity they will only pick up prescriptions or do shopping and under no circumstances would come into your home. So from my experience the system albeit so new is working very well for those who cannot get out at all and it took just 2 hours from registering to somebody calling me ready to help.

What is clogging up the system is GPs are under strict rules not to subscribe Class A drugs for anything longer than one month, so being on four it just increases the need to collect more than once a month. I have a feeling the Government might just look at that as every pharmicist I know has a 4/5 day backlog and the GPs themselves are tied up repeating prescriptions. Why there are such delays and queues outside chemists baffle me, don"t people who take prescribed medicine do so every month, why now??

Actually TF, that is a really strange question. People who need carers need them, it is not a luxury accessory

Well no really, but in just one year I have gone from everyday, to twice a week and now for the last two weeks nothing.. As is my norm I went into infection mode on Thursday which was scary as just about everybody will display signs of psychosematic illness as people are constantly aware of how they feel and quite inderstandably the slightest cough will cause distress.

When I say a couple of weeks that is really twice a week for 2/3 hours. I can"tget down to our laundrette or carry any quantity or as daft as it sounds remake my bed so I did contact a volunteer service to help pick up prescriptions and shopping but the [person who called lives a stones throw away, has been a carer for four years and currently awaiting joining the NHS. So I made her an offer, will meet her here tomorrow and that will solve one big problem for me, both aware of social distancing and she will be the only person i will allow in. I am in self isolation as I have so many respiratory and heart problems but I need basic things like clean bedding once a week, clean my home and run a few errands like shopping. Fortunately with that I am well prepared as my norm is being at home happily that is what I am used too. So yes there is ""get by"" but not for a few months/or more which it will be IMHO and why just get by if something comes up and it works?? I spend all my time at home or in the garden when I can, I have no stress ATM after 7 years of hell, so yes an organised clean home and access to what I need is my only need. I n context a ""couple of hours"" of someone elses time would take me 2 days, so perhaps that best explains it.

It is why my sadness and focus is for those alone and not able to think or organise what I have, for the many who are worse off than me, I can count on two hands friends who I speak to every day who I love, I am rich in that respect, and I meant no disrepect about discussions taking place just for me at this time, my thoughts are elsewhere.

Whatever measures have been rolled out, whatever danger lists we are added to all rquire us to be reactive and case them, not a lot will filter throughelp wise unless we make it happen. Regardless of vulnerability and Government lists Ihaven"t seen any changes in my life yet except for what I instigate and just think of the elderly, those alone who just cant fightforthemselves.

This is not crticism,jst a reality of making sure help filters through to society. So take special care for yourself and do notpresumethat is where it ends, it doesn"t, spare a thought forthosewho cannot care for themselves otherwise millions will be left behind . So is it really imporant what leaders have said at different times?? I think not, but lets ensure the help gets to where it is needed most. Goodnight.

Thanks for thinking of me Nom. It is the first time i have been without a carer for 7 years, so that is helpful.

I was put in touch with a volunteer on Thursday, turns out she was a full time carer for an elderly couple near by, Polish lady, very decent and I have arranged to her meet her tomorrow to do paid work for me for a couple of hours a week. There are 23 flats where I live, at least halfhad the carer I did, so hoping it works out, it could be great for her and a few others in my block. Just shows what a bit of kindness from somebody else can do. I actually remember the one job I was ever employed in, I missed out on the job, offered to work for free for a month and ended up taking over the business six months later which set me up for a great ten year run in Liverpool in business.

There is a lot of kindness going on out there, it is my hope that when we come out of this dreadful time that willbecome the new norm. I believe it will.

Seems pretty obvious now, but last night at 8.00 see the distance between the Chancellor and the PM outside Nos 10, noticeably wide apart, the last two two Press Conferences the Lady, Deputy Medical Officer not Chris Whitty and during P &Qs see the ashen look on Matt Han****s face. ?? Anyone not self isolating now?. Scary stuff. Sure we all wish them very well and hoping Rishi Sunak and all in Government are well.

In Italy 969 people have died in the last 24 hours, and I noticed afte TFs post this morning, Sweden have done a U-Turn on their stratagy, just shows there should never be a blame game IMHO, but how clear it is that nobody knows how best to treat this and scientists have different opinions as we all do.
