Just another example to me of the standard of news we listen too.

Well we know he is not good, hence why he is in hospital, but why the need to have two very different stories doing the rounds?? Pretty sure we know why, but really!!

Differing reports Nom but just being taken to hospital can only be a bad sign. My thoughts are very much with him, I won"t comment on his importance as I have seen some unbelievably nasty comments directed at him. Lets hope he gets out of there as soon as possible.

Really appreciate so many good posts today from everyone. Particularly good posts Ruck.

It is a lousy time for everyone, but you guys have highlighted so many important factors. News travels fast, and the messages given to us like ""we are all in this together"" and time will tell"" are words I am hearing from nearly everybody I know.

I am still relying on information from our scientists, giving Social Media and Sky News a wide berth. I think they are excellent posts as there are so many factors we just dont know, nor do the scientific community, and until such time as they do there is nothing I have to add to the comments today. Just the issue of testing, testing is one mentioned here by everyone, and maybe at last organisations like Sky News will look at their responsibilities to report news, rather than create mantras which IMHO are not helpful to anybody, but create confusion and focus on blame, rather than the exceptional work the Government have done so far. It is becoming even more apparant to me that the issues they have dealt with far outweighs what still needs to be done, given the timing of how this has spread. Hoping BJ is recovering well, as indeed are all those infected with this rotten virus.

Why on earth would the Government want ammunition to keep restrictions longer than necessary?? It is every bodies interest we can return to some kind of normality A.S.A.P?

Exactly, as we say ""time will tell"". I noticed todays total was 708. I am taking comfort in knowing that the greatest scientific minds around the world are all in this together. Even they haven"t got anywhere near the answers, so I really do wonder where the criticism comes from, the new army of experts who know nothing compared to what the scientists do.

Funny enough Hanccok looked the most ill of all of them, Boris just doesn"t look right still but I see he is arranging a meeting with Opposition Leaders for next week, perhaps that will be on video link too. How I wish when I was in business and travelling over 1200 miles a week round the U.K. we had such technology, it wouldn"t have helped in closing deals, but the time it would have saved on future consultations once they were clients would have been incredible. Just hoping things get better very quickly now and as soon as businesses can reopen the better chance more than expected will survive.

Something I didn"t know was that in Italy only people with Heart Conditions are being taken to hospital, anything else they are treated at home, but in the death figures released it is only those who are dying from Heart Conditions that are included in the death tolls. Is that right?????

If it is the case there is little point it seems comparing data with any country unless they adopt the same guidelines as us. Something which has been mentioned here a few times. Personally I am interested here in seeing questions answered to the best of our knowledge, rather than statements of fact which are contrary to what the Scientists are saying.

That was my feeling, and if anyone is still having sleeping problems well I switched off watching Sky News a few days ago and have slept ever since.

Yes I understand that, one of the reasons I am avoiding news channels, apart from headline news on phone and computer, is that they keep on about testing as if nobody has explained the reasons behind it. I find that astonishing as I am sure we have all heard the views from the scientists.

This question of test, test, test is answered pretty clearly by the British Scientists on a daily basis, they give reasons which I understand as to how ineffective testing can be. That being the case why do you think this matter comes up on a hourly basis?

I mentioned the help that was afforded to me by a volunteer last weekend.

She had insisted I send her a shopping list this week, which I did. She did the shopping just after receiving it yesterday, just couldn"t raise me as I slept for 24 Hours. Brought it over today with her boyfriends help and she had even me a large amount of home made chicken soup!!!

Yes, remaining grateful for whatever is being done, and as someone who is dependant on the kindness of others I am overwhelmed by how beautiful people can be, and we just never know until times like this.

Exactly Wild which is why the Scientists and Government are warning us to be very careful what we read, especially when it comes to comparing data. As you say too many unknowns and variables.
